Their new furniture lines are hip but the delivery time is horrendous. Ordered 9÷5÷15 with a 3 month max window. 4.25 months later, the Ethan Allen truck pulled up – with dining room chairs that had the right fabric but we had ordered living room armchairs. Unbelievable customer service — they said a mistake rarely happens(turns out they made a mistake with their furniture code numbers) then said, it would take 3 more months for the armchairs to be delivered. Instead of waiting a total of 7+ months for a set of chairs, I requested my money back. And to top it off, the people in the store, after I purchased the chair, were rude, on an ongoing basis. I’ve opted to purchase furniture from another company, and yes, it is a 3 month wait again but I don’t ever want to give Ethan Allen a single cent. The new Ethan Allen has lots of furniture types and fabrics compared to 5 years ago but they haven’t figured out how to meet their delivery dates with manufacturing and order accuracy.

Premium prices paired with substandard service. Waited 4 months for a couch that never arrived. So, we bought a couch on August 15. We were told it would arrive in 8 – 12 weeks. Waited patiently until mid-November and when we hadn’t heard from them, called to inquire. We were told it would be a couple more weeks, since they’re writing orders on paper slips like the digital revolution never happened, the order had been misplaced. And then there was a fabric delay. I wish they would have called to say that. Not ideal, but okay, what’s a couple more weeks. Early December, we were told it was finally done, and it would take a couple more weeks for transport. I thought they might like to prioritize the shipment, considering the previous delay, but no such luck. Our next call to them in the 3rd week of December yielded the fact the couch wasn’t done but MIGHT be soon. At this point the store manager agreed to cancel the order and waive the 25% fee normally associated with it. Four months and counting, no couch. Not sure what on earth is happening at that place, but it’s not good business practices. Some proactive and honest communication from them would have gone a long way. Part of me wonders how long it would take if we were willing to wait it out, and if it would even be what we ordered. Alas, the world will never know. Steer clear.
