Love this place. Food is always consistent and delicious. If you like authentic Chinese food this is the place.

So many Chinese food options in the area, but this is one of our favorites! Sesame glazed chicken and amazing crab ragoons are often our«go to». For the most part we do take-out but the restaurant itself has great ambiance and they have a full bar!

I love this kind of americanized shitty Chinese take out. This has been my new spot since I moved to the area last year. The food is always hot and cooked through. Plus my large orders are usually ready in under 15 minutes! Only drawback is it is kind if a butch to get to if you live on the southbound side of rt1. Worth it though.

I ordered food from here tonight and it was very, very good! I am surprised as I am sitting here reading all of the not so great reviews! Upon arrival, I was pleasantly greeted by the man at the front desk. He promptly took my order and he was also friendly. My food was very fresh and nice and hot upon arriving home, so I know that it was cooked to order, unlike the place right down the road… haha! I will order from here again!

Filthy from the stairway in to the fish tank in the center. I don’t want to ever see the kitchen! I ate the food but threw away the leftovers. Doesn’t seem like they own a vac, just the old«carpet sweeper» in the dining room for a little atmosphere. I don’t care what the food was like, I’m never going back. Filthy.

Kinda gross in there. Waitress needs to maybe smile iron her shirt. Oh and have her dinner when I’m done with mine!

It was my grandmothers 87th birthday four days ago(I know right!) she still looks amazing. Anyways… So her favorite place to get Chinese food is Out of Asia. We were having her birthday celebration at her house with the family, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I have to say that the general consensus was to get take out from Kowloons, which coincidentally, is right down the way from Out of Asia. But it was my Nonni’s bday, so of course we went with her fave place! We ordered legit over 300 dollars worth of food. I was impressed by the fact that it was delivered 30 minutes or so after ordering, now that’s what I call fast service! HAHAHA now I know why… Those bastards must have been busting out the food like animals, not caring about the quality whatsoever, it was epically disappointing! For starters, which had to be the highlight, were the crab rangoon… My uncle is hilarious, he kept opening them up, and was like«Where is the filling? Is this a joke?» 90% of the rangoons had like a tsp. of filling in them. What a letdown, and a horrible oversight on their part. Almost all of the dishes were pretty underwhelming, too many to talk about all, so I’ll just mention a few. The orange beef was like knawing on bleepin beef jerky! It was AWFUL… AWFUL. It was so damn chewy, practically inedible… I mean the flavor was just ok, and who cares about flavor when you can’t get past the beef. We also ordered the«aromatic shrimp», we were trying to figure where the heck that indiscernible dish was, nothing even resembling shrimp(scary isn’t it?). Eureka! There it was, in all of it’s non-shrimp like glory! My mom was a bit skeptical at first because it was touted to be quite spicy(at that point she probably would have welcomed it)…well no worries there!!! BLANDBLANDBLAND, talk about like NO spice… everything was blah, there were definitely no standouts. Oh, and let’s chat about the«house rice,» it was supposed to be a version of fried rice… you know brown in color and what not… it was like steamed white rice! …I ordered FRIED rice people, get it straight. Minor qualm that my dad has with certain establishments… that cheap pink duck sauce… gross! As if it couldn’t have gotten any worse… If you can’t handle the volume, get out of the damn kitchen!!! p. s. We still had a lovely evenly with family even though we had suck pump food… won’t be ordering from them again that’s for certain! I am quite sure that going to the restaurant would yield far more favorable results, but this still needs to be brought to light, inexcusable. *Chinese food lovers beware if ordering for a group!*

I have been going here years always liked. Recently the quality of the food has really gone down hill. I went a few days ago for takeout, the hallway downstairs leading up to the resturaunt was filthy. The owner was coming up the stairs as I was leaving, had to notice this. The crab rangoons were so salty that we could not eat them. The vegetables are not as crisp and fresh as they used to be. The chicken in the various dishes is fatty. So hate to say I will not be returning to this old go to takeout resturaunt

Overall pretty good, I’ve been pleased with mostly everything I’ve ordered. Not too greasy. Much better for take-out because of the service. Each time I’ve gone in I’ve been stuck with the same girl. She always seems angry & annoyed. Not at all friendly, never smiles. In fact she was actually really rude the last time I was there. She was working the bar where I was sitting & I had shrimp & some were not at all cleaned so the black intestinal vein was left in. When I mentioned it, she argued with me, seemed to get mad that I said something & pretty much ignored me after that. Not at all cool. Definitely seems like she’s in the wrong business. If it wasn’t for the great food & fair prices, that server would have totally turned me off.

Always great for take out — pad Thai, angel hair pasta, and spicy eggplant dishes are very good. A little bit more expensive than some of the local Chinese places but it makes up for that with higher quality food.

Out of Asia is my favorite Chinese restaurant. I am shocked by some of the negative reviews. We have been going there since it opened. Our staple items are the appetizer platter for 2, sesame chicken, and beef and broccoli over pan fried noodle. All of their beef dishes are so succulent. Their beef is so tender. I especially love their beef szechuan. Their pork fried rice always seems fresh unlike most places that has it sitting in a steam table all day waiting for you to order it. I find Out of Asia to be on par with Billy Tse’s in Revere… very similar menu/style of food. Love both places! The waiters are always friendly. I have never had a problem with the service. The place is clean. Give it a try!

Went again while visiting family nearby. The Chun Lui chicken and beef are excellent. They are on the spicy side so have your water glass handy. The rice seemed a little burnt with a smokey taste but still pretty good. The boneless spare ribs are delicious as well. Ask that they are not cooked well done. It’s much better that way. The homemade duck sauce is great. I like my chicken fingers crispy the way they make it but others I was with prefer them soft. Coincidently located on route 1. A must visit.

I am eating my left over Pineapple Coconut Rice as I type this. As I was taking each delicious bite, I just knew I had to get on Unilocal and let everyone know how good this stuff is. Being from Saugus, you think Route 1 and Asian, you think Kowloon. I was on Route 1 last night, I wanted Asian food but I did not want to go to Kowloon. I wanted something more intimate, fresher, quicker. I am glad I remembered Out of Asia. We were greeted with smiling faces and sat immediately. Poured lemon iced water and didn’t get an annoyed look when that was all we wanted to drink. We split the Pineapple Coconut Rice and a Scallion Pancake. It was enough food for 2 people to eat with leftovers for lunch today. They were both also delicious! The bill with tip was under $ 20 and when we were leaving we were thanked by what seemed like everyone working in the place. I will definitely be back the next time near Route 1 and craving Asian.

The drinks were great, lychee martini = amazing. We ordered the crab cakes and rangoons to start. Rangoons were great, crab cakes not terrible but not great. For our meals we ordered from the specials menu, salmon and scallops, and both plates were not so special. First both plates were chipped, his in three places mine in two, ermm. Second both dishes were practically incinerated, the scallops came with old bacon that neither of us could recall being on the menu but it was clearly not cooked with the rest so… ok? The salmon was overcooked and completely bland. Our server never came back until the check so there’s that. I would come back for an app and a drink but that’s about it.

Love this place — Food is absolutely top notch. We get take-out a few times a year from Out of Asia and it is always very fresh and hot. We love Kowloon, but if you are looking for something a bit different(more like PF Changs but not food chain like), this is the spot. Have not tried too many of the dishes here, but the ones we have did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

This used to be a favorite of ours for take out. Last night we got take out from there, the price was ok, the food –eh. Delivery took much longer than quoted, when I called they said 40 minutes, it was over an hour. The guy said the car broke down. Um, the dog ate my homework!!! We had spring rolls(extremely greasy), pork fried rice, sesame chicken, chicken with cashews, and steak teriaki. The steak was chewy and not hot(considering the delivery time, it was at least not ice cold). Pork fried rice was ok but unremarkable, the sesame chicken used to be tender and delicious, it was kind of gummy and tough to chew, and in the chicken with cashews, I got a piece of I don’t know what — cartiledge??? It was HUGE, kind of made me not want more. I’d get food again, but I would not go out of my way, and I would not get delivery.

Gross. Just gross. Everything is greasy, fatty, and nothing seems fresh. Even the vegetables are doused in oil and fried up. The only somewhat saving grace were the garlic noodles, which were just ok, but in no way made a dinner. Even the miso soup had an odd flavor, which is one of the easiest things in the world to make. It was super loud, as they don’t have a private room, so they just had a birthday party of 30 people in the middle of the seating area. It was so distracting. I will never come back here.

Out of Asia might just be out for me in the future. Went here last night and had the beef with rice noodles. I was hoping for better based on the expansive menu and the reviews but was not impressed. They will cook to order which was nice but both my friend and I found our food.‘interesting’. Not something you want to say while eating. Its saving grace is its not expensive, which is in the owner favor for possibly getting people to give it a second chance. Not sure I will but one never know how the fortune cookies will crumble.
