I am so happy! I literally just walked out of the shop. I have two wigs that are super comfortable, feel amazing, and look great! Thank you so much, I’m glad I made the drive.

I am undergoing chemo and found Sylvia through my insurance company. I had purchased a wig online and was not happy with it and was looking for someone to help me create a style closer to my natural one in a wig. Sylvia was so helpful in finding out exactly what I was hoping to achieve with a wig — she ordered a wig specifically for me, and custom cut the wig so it was exactly what I envisioned. She also gave me some hints on styling it. I can’t speak highly enough of my experience at the Hair Studio and Wig Salon, and the kindness and professionalism of Sylvia and her lovely assistant.(She took care of all the insurance details quickly and efficiently too). THANKYOU Sylvia!

I found Wigs by Sylvia a few years ago and it was the best thing that ever happen to me. I had gone to other wigs salons that treated you like you were nothing you had no connection to them. You were just business they just wanted your money and did not care about you as a customer. I had lost my self esteem and had given up hope until I found Sylvia I had lost my hair and it was traumatic. Then I found Sylvia and she gave me my life back she took me into a private area explain the process and show me all my options and together we found a great wig. I can’t explain the feeling it was so awesome I could go out with friends and go to work knowing I look good. Thank you Sylvia. She is like family and when you go to have you hair done your having a great time it’s a fun atmosphere since then I have purchase 2 more wigs Sylvia let’s you know the process and the payment up front and also the reason she removes the tag. Which is no big deals if you like the wig and it works for you what is the Big deal !!! I was there the day a client called and was upset about the tag this person kept calling her back and she explain again the policy. She was very courteous and explain she had customers and she would call back but this person did not care and kept calling her back and harrassing her. Omg what is wrong with this person big deal no tag if you like the wig again what is the big deal !!! Grow up and get a life and move on… I am sure this person will respond with a negative response. But take it from where it come from. This is a great place.

I gave Sylvia the owner a $ 100 deposit over the phone for a $ 170 new wig. When it was time for me to pay the balance I asked her to charge my card for the difference, mail the wig to me and asked her NOTTOREMOVETHEPRODUCTTAG — which has the brand, model number, color and country where it is made, etc. She refused, telling me that she had already cut the tag and it is her policy. I said I would gladly buy the wig ONLY if it has a the original manufacturers tag attached to the wig otherwise I would not accept the wig and want my deposit money back. She refused. The standard practice of this wig store, Sylvia reiterated, is to cut out the tags of the wigs prior to purchase. A practice I believe is completely unfair, unethical and maybe even illegal. Sylvia the owner defends this practice as her policy to «protect» her business, so that clients cannot then shop around for the same wig somewhere else — this to me is a unfair business practice. How am I supposed to know what wig I bought, color, brand or model when it gets to my house? If there are no tags how do I know if its used or new or what I bought? This makes no sense. I finally has to call my bank to mediate to get my money back. The bank called her with me on the line and she acknowledged she cut out the tag and she hung up the phone. You Better buy your wigs elsewhere or online, better price and you know what you are buying!

I found the website for Wigs by Sylvia by chance; I model part-time and I was in desperate need of the perfect Betty Page style wig for a photo shoot that upcoming weekend. I called to see if the store was going to be open by the time I got out of work. The woman who answered the phone, Sylvia, was really nice and said she’d wait for me to get there!(wow!) Finding the place was a bit of a pain– it’s in a plaza on Route 1 Southbound. The best landmark is the Christmas Tree Shop(which has a large building that looks like a ship attached to it). Once you pass the Christmas Tree Shop and a gas station on the right(I think it’s a Gulf?), there’s an entrance for a plaza with a handicap ramp on the front of it– that’s where Sylvia’s is. Once inside, you are immediately surrounded by walls covered in mannequin heads wearing all kinds of wigs– every color and cut you can think of! There’s a huge variety in the store, and she can order more from suppliers if she doesn’t have exactly what you want. She actually deals primarily with people that need wigs because of chemo therapy and such– she can help you deal with your insurance company to help pay for your prosthetic hair! But she also sells to people just looking for a new look, actors actresses and models, and drag queens! She sells wigs in every price range– real human hair ones you can use heat to style and more affordable fake ones. Sylvia was SONICE! I can’t speak highly enough of her! She gave me a great deal on a real human hair wig that I can work with and re-style as I need for my modeling work! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for some fake hair!
