I love Bast! She is one of the most elegant yoga teachers I have ever had the chance to work with. Her yoga teaching seems influenced by her work as a temple dancer, from the lovely mudras, to the surrender she encourages in her teaching… at one point, I think she told us to work on our«blissipline» which I found totally charming. Her class was challenging, and heart awakening. Thank you Dakini Temple.

What to say about Elizabeth Bast… She’s a marvelous combination of saintly goddess and salt-of-the-earth, hysterical, irreverent realness. Her energy maintains a beautiful etherial purity while still remaining strongly connected to the challenges and situations of what IS. She is a warrior for peace, love and goodness and she carries herself with grace, ease, oceans of understanding, and crackling humor while fighting with all her soul against the dying of the light. She will extend her fight for you too, you have only to ask and be open to receive. I highly, highly recommend studying with the mighty Bast. She is unlike any teacher I have ever experienced. Her vast knowledge of the Yogic and Tantric arts empowers her with boundless tools that, when combined with her incredibly attuned intuitive abilities, allow her to glean the exact nature of the challenge at hand and offer exactly what is needed most. You can FEEL how much she cares for the development of her students, which she takes on, whole-heartedly, as her own personal holy quest. Bast has made me a better person, not just through her teachings, but because of who she IS. She is an inspiration to me in the classic sense of the word, «To fill one with Spirit.» God bless Bast.

The old saying — those that can, do; those that can’t, teach — is thankfully(for us) not true about Bast. I’ve seldom met someone who so thoroughly embodies what they teach as Bast. Just being with her, even when she is not«teaching» is an education. She opens worlds inside you, you did not even know you had, and you walk back out into your day with your senses alive and humming. The best teachers transmit their knowledge not through words but though action and essence. Just hang out with them, and you become wiser. Bast is such a rare teacher. And the rest of us can only be grateful.
