I can’t believe I’ve been living in Laurel for months and never knew about this place until now! I do have to admit that the hiking and trails was a bit more«nature-y» than I would like. My friend found a black widow on him and then my dog ran into a big spiderweb. That kind of freaked me out. But it is pretty and a nice place to go with dogs. There are different trails to take. The trails are coded with colors on the trees and have signs pointing out which trail is which. There is a small paper map at the parking too so you might want to take a picture of that before you start. The red trail takes you along the river and my dog LOVED playing in the river. It’s not too crowded here with some runners and bikers. And there is a trail exclusively for bikes, according to my friend.

great set of multi-use trails that are perfect for hiking, jogging, or walking. hubby and i got to set foot on a portion of this trail while running through savage park and it was a very nicely paved trail with some rolling hills. we only wish we had more time to explore the other parts of this trail which extend into the city of columbia. definitely a great way to explore and enjoy the nature of this part of howard county.
