Papa Murphy’s

My family gets pizza here almost once a week and sometimes more. The last two times we picked up from here the service was not so hot. Last week the pizza’s looked like they were made by a new «trainee». Sauce was not spread evenly and toppings also looked off a bit and made sloppily. Today I waited a very very long time for my two veggie delights while other customers were coming after me ad leaving before me. Another customer had the same problem. After asking why the delay, the manager said the back line was slower than the front line. The slow line was slow because the new teenage employee «Alley» was working the back line. Once my pizza’s were done Alley picked up one pizza and dropped it on top of my other pizza and said have a nice day sarcastically refusing to make eye contact. This store is FULL OF TEENAGE workers. Expect slow service and poor attitudes from some NOT ALL of the staff. After getting home with the pizza’s we also found them to be made with the wrong crust and also made in the wrong size.

Okay, it’s not often that I would review a behemoth brand with five stars, but this location has never failed to deserve a great rating. Everything I’ve ordered has been tasty, affordable and fresh, delivered on time even in bad weather (sorry for ordering during rain or snow, delivery drivers) and with awesome service. It’s super easy to order online or by phone. A great standby for when I get stuck babysitting or just want something easy for movie night. I won’t order from anywhere else!

Papa Murhpy’s is pretty standard across the board since it is a chain. That being said, this location has repeatedly messed up my pizzas by not adding enough toppings or simply messing up what I’d like on it. For starters, I used to work at Papa Murphy’s so I know how much of each ingredient should be on a specific pizza (for example, a large pepperoni should have 60 slices and a family should have 80). Mine never contain that many. It’s mainly the young kids who don’t follow this rule and the store has gotten significantly better in the last two years! I keep going to this location because the pizza is good and the location is great. Also, a little known fact — the Herb and Cheese mix does not count as a topping and is free of charge if you add it to your pizza (the purchased container at the register is not free).

Would recommend cooking the pizza a bit longer than the instructions say. The middle tends to be underdone because of the cooking tray (or maybe we just like our pizza medium-​well). Also, stay away from the cookie dough — not good at all. Then again my wife is a baker so I could just be a spoiled punk.
