I got married here earlier in the year, and was really nervous that there wouldn’t be enough space since our guest list was close to the building’s capacity. Fortunately there was plenty of space, and the dance floor was more spacious than I’d initially thought. I wasn’t terribly fond of the carpeting in the dining area, but it wasn’t too noticeable once the lights went down, and the DJ lighting went up. I love the antique ambiance of this venue, which is very detailed and well decorated for the most part. I especially liked that there were separate dressing rooms for the bride and groom, as well as a restroom upstairs. It made getting ready, and keeping the groups together easy. Plus the rooms were both really cute One thing that bothered me, was that we arranged to have outdoor seating for our ceremony, and were talked into keeping the seating outdoors while a thunderstorm was only worsening. We reluctantly agreed to try and wait it out, but were not about to have everyone sit at their round dining tables, where half of the people would be facing the wrong direction. What did they try to get us to do? Have everyone sit at the dining tables. Luckily my husband was able to get them to rearrange the seating last-minute while I dealt with hair catastrophes. Overall the wedding turned out very nice. I was pleased with the food, and the setup Putting On The Ritz was able to do for us. We were even given some sort of coordinator the day of, which I wasn’t expecting. I guess it would have been nice to know she’d be there, so we didn’t have an aunt show up early to help orchestrate the bridal party. I would definitely recommend this venue for a mid-sized wedding(under 110 people, which is the maximum) if you’re not looking for the typical hotel ballroom reception.

I visited this manor as a possible wedding venue. In my search for cost friendly reception venues this very close to home venue popped up. So I made and appointment to see it and I must say that I left still feeling like this may be the place. The only issue I could find is my dislike of the dining hall carpet and the random statue in the garden outdoors where they are prepared to do ceremonies. The place is dated but I enjoyed the art work and décor of the facility overall. I am in love with the catering service that is affiliated with the manor and hoped my fiancé would love the place too. Unfortunately, he did not. He has an eagle eye for things and was not pleased with the upkeep of the manor. He notice missing boards on the siding and the grass was poorly kept with weeds all through out. The site coordinator mentioned some renovations that they plan on doing and I hope they include fining the things my fiancé noticed because I like the price of this venue and I am completely in love with the catering company. Crossing my fingers!!!

I recently went to a wedding reception here– and I think everyone at the wedding was uncomfortable. The house is made up of these small little rooms, and every time you tried to turn around you bumped into someone. The reception room was long and narrow, so it was hard to see anybody besides those at the surrounding tables. There were also only two bathrooms, and they were in a tiny hallway so if you had to wait for it then you caused another traffic jam. I think the house is beautiful, and the food was fine, but I would definitely only consider this as a venue if it was a pretty small guest list.
