Hello, Sonic is our families go to place for a weekend treat. Unfortunately the last few times we have gone there we have had horrible service and now their slushy machine it broken for the second time in a month. I understand things break but this last visit I waiting 30min to place an order to find out the machine was broken and given the response of «too bad» when asked why. This is disrespectful and rude. Also why is the machine broken down so much? A company of your size should be able to afford proper equipment right? To say the least my family will no longer be visiting Sonic until these issues are fixed. I have also posted this review online so others don’t have the same experience I have had.

We waited for about 20 minutes for the kids meal and hot dog we ordered. The people next to us left after 15 minutes. When we finally received our food, the portions were extremely small.

Live a block away from this location and finally decided to try it. At the drive thru window: I politely asked for a lot of ketchup and for my marinara sauce, the girl had forgot to put in with my mozz sticks. She glared at me without a word, rolled her eyes and slammed the window shut. SLAMMED it. She returned to give me the rest of my order and plopped a massive pile of ketchup packets into my hand, then dropped the marinara sauce on the ground and shut the window. The best part was picking up the marinara from the pavement to find it had been used, half gone with no lid.

MYDRINKTASTEDLIKEBLEACH! you never want to turn to your significant other, after driving 20 miles to take her to SONIC for her first time, and ask… «does my drink taste like cleaning product?! « In fact… ITDID!!! When i brought this issue up to the manager on duty she didn’t even seem phased. And when i asked for a refund she managed to bring me out a dollar less then what my drink cost. They are literally poisoning customers and stealing from us. Allthobeit this could all be from complete ineptitude, that is still far from an exception. I am currently searching for the local health inspector information to bring this to their attention.

Guy at the window was nice. Girl inside working was yelling about how much she hated her job, and was complaining about needing to come in the next day. I don’t really want to sit in my car at the drove through window and listen to something like that. She even looked at me, and kept talking anyway. After all that, my hot dog and tator tots were soggy and luke warm. I was the ONLY customer there. Shouldn’t it be hot???

We love Sonic. The drinks are great, I love getting a sprite with cherry — their shakes and ice creams are fabulous. My favorite is the snickers sonic blast! Or a chocolate/banana shake. But by far the best thing about sonic is their foot long coney’s — the hot dog has this smokey flavor that is just fabulous. And the prices are super too. The kids love the idea of a «dashboard diner”/carhop service. And we’ve always had quick and friendly service here. My only complaint is the music can sometimes be really too loud.

The drinks here are great. We went biking since we live around here. We could order from the parking lot. There deals are great half of Shakes after 8 pm and the other drinks between 2 threw 4 pm. Service is great and friendly sight.

1 time shame on you, 2−3−4−5 times shame on me. Why do I go back for soggy crappy food. Majority of my coworkers love Sonic but I have yet to have a good meal here. The bread is always soggy, tots are never hot, and ocean water gives me radioactive pee. It’s no good, I cannot recommend, never again

Stopped by Sonic in Savage last night after watching really good looking french fries on the show«Undercover Boss» caused us to have an attack french fry craving. The service was very good. When I ordered, I asked for large chilli cheese fries with onions, a chilli cheese dog with onions, a small fries and a «Route 44» Ocean water(a 44 oz sprite with a blue coconut syrup that makes it a really refreshing drink on a 96 degree Minnesota night). When the food was brought out to the car(quickly and really really politely I might add) I looked at my receipt. The person who had taken my order had combined my order into one of their value combos saving me about 2 dollars. She didn’t even tell me she was doing or take any kind of credit for it… she just did it to save me money. This is good form and good honest service. The food was good… the fries were crisp and fresh, the chilli dog was good(fresh soft bun, warm dog… obviously was prepared fresh) and the ocean water was good and refreshing. I don’t normally go gaga over fast food(which I typically consider junk) but this was very good and the servers went over the top for me which I appreciate. I suggest checking this place out.

I took my kids there for a cream slush treat last week. Within 1 hour they were complaining of stomach pains and within 3 – 4 hours I was holding both their heads back as they proceeded to vomit their guts out. This went on all night. I know food-borne illnesses are a possibility while eating out, but you would think ice-cream was remotely safe. Hopefully this was a isolated event but I am writing this in case it is not. I don’t want to sound like a ‘hater’ but there is no way you will catch me or my family eating here again.

I finally tried out Sonic after years of people telling me it was the best thing since sliced bread. It has been years since I have been to a drive in type restaurant(Since the old A&W closed in Newport), but this one was sub par. First off, you drive into your stall and the only scenery you can look at is either the building wall, or a privacy fence… Not exactly great ambiance. The food was OK, but not great by any means. Their famous slushy drinks had more cavity inducing sugar flavor than expected, and I found myself wanting a water after. So, if you are going out to get greasy food, there are many better options than Sonic. Furthermore, none of them will involve you or your kids spilling food on your car upholstery…

Yuck! Iowa sucked and so does Sonic. It rained for the whole state and was capped off by another wretched culinary abortion served luke warm on Texas Toast. I know, this location says MN. Technically the Sonic we went to was at a truck stop in Iowa, but the state is so unimportant that no one wants to write about it, so I had to pick one close in proximity… that, and I thought the name Savage for the town was pretty bitchin’! Why is Sonic at every gas exit and rest stop on I-35? I am saying it first, right here right now: «Sonic is the Dunkin’ Donuts of the Midwest.» Much like the myth that DD has fantastic coffee(which they don’t Boston), Sonic too has people in the Plains states fooled. Everyone is so mesmerized by Sonic’s marketing or whatever, that they tend to overlook the fact they serve garbage. Case is point, the Fritos Chili Cheese Wrap. I know what you’re thinking, and the answer is yes, I had three of them. J/K, I was going to be SITTING in a Penske truck for the next 2000 miles, do you really think I was going to risk it on a gut-bomb like the Fritos Chili Chesse Wrap? You might as well just throw it in the toilet, cut out the middle man and call it a day. Sonic, you wish you could carry In-N-Out’s jock. Next Please.

I generally think reviews of fast food places are a little ridiculous, but in this case, I’m making an exception. Maybe it’s because we went without it for so long, but Sonic is one of my favorite fast food chains, and I always have to stop when I see one. It’s the In-N-Out effect: Romanticizing cheap burgers that are essentially the same thing you get at any fast food chain, but which become so much better in our minds because you can’t get them HERE. I fully buy into this phenomenon. It’s not quite all in our heads, though, because you do get a few things you can’t find anywhere else. In Sonic’s case, it’s the delectable breakfast sandwiches… on toast! Ooooh, exotic. I also love the mixable drinks and tatertots. Not quite sure how successful the drive-in business is 9 months out of the year, but it’s definitely nice in the summertime.
