Visiting this establishment is an absolute must whenever I am in Savannah. Hands down, the best gyro I’ve ever had. If you don’t mind a little spiciness, I strongly recommend their chicken curry gyro.

Ok maybe I’m used to a Gyro sandwich from the North. I love Savannah but what I got as a Gyro sandwich here was terrible, the lamb was overcooked and tiny pieces, the sauce added no flavor. There must be better Gyro’s in Savannah. Won’t go back.

This place has amazing food! Tried their kofta kabab, chicken curry and lamp wraps which were freshly made and tasted really good. Must try when you are in Savannah downtown.

This is a cute little restaurant that seems unassuming from the outside. Step inside, and it feels like a little Middle Eastern bodega we would go to in NYC. The chicken curry is on point(and she’ll make it spicy if you like it). Don’t let all the canned foods fool you — it’s fresh and pretty fast. I’m partial to getting it to go, but they’ve got plenty of seats. Plus they’re humus is great, and they grill their pita making it nice and toasty. They have great gyro meat too. My only request would be less olive oil on their salad and maybe more vinegar in their or even another type of dressing on their salad. Overall though, a delicious/quick meal!

Great food and friendly service. A few tables for dine in. You may need to get it to go. Either way it’s worth it

Stopped by this place while on one of my bar & food hopping days lol. We only came here for one thing… to try a gyro! A few Unilocalers have raved about this spot & we saw this on Savannah’s 10 under $ 10 so we had to try. This is a very small spot in a not so pleasing neighborhood …but once you walk in those savory Mediterranean aromas will lure you right in! We ordered our gyro & …it was just OK. Boo! Don’t get me wrong, it was cooked to order & fresh but the flavor didn’t wow me! I was really looking for some good spices(especially garlic) & a bomb taziki sauce. I’m a fan of Lamb & gyros… so looking at this location I was expecting a knock out. Can’t say I’ll be knocking the walls down to get back here but I would try them out again.

A small jem of a restaurant. All our favorite foods in one place. The setting includes all the covers of National Geographic which gives you pause for thought while you wait. The chefs are prompt, even saying Salaams to my husband’s mother via FaceTime. They are faster than the Olympia we ate at last night. Don’t let the neighborhood keep you away from this food! Try the egg plant and the hummus – warm and tasty! If you like lamb, I have never had such a tasty and tender lamb as this one.

The food was so great, so authentic, and the service was just as great if not better. Friendly owners and staff and it’s a great place to grab a bite at any time of the day. Highly suggesting this place to everyone I meet!

I grab take-out here roughly once a week, as it’s directly on my way home from work. It’s my requisite«I’m too tired to cook» place. The food is always hot and delicious, and the portions are a great size. The owner is really nice, and it’s fun to sit and stare at the National Geographics all over the wall while I wait for my order.

Got take out from here for dinner while staying at an Air BNB up the street. Enjoyed the national geographic décor! Ordered the chicken curry platter and Kufta Kebob platter which both came with sides of hummus and babagounish. Meat was charred and over done the chicken curry was okay, a little bland for my liking. The hummus and babagounish were average but tasted much better once we added hot sauce! It’s an okay option for middle eastern take out.

Just had the chicken gyro and I’m impressed. The chicken is cooked just right along with a liberal application of the sauce.

My favorite falafel place in Savannah for over 10 years. The owner and his wife are sweet and fun to talk to. Cheap prices and good falafel and fries. They also have some other fried food and middle eastern groceries.

I found this one day by chance riding my bike from Forsyth to mid-town down Habersham. Very good, simple, and inexpensive Middle Eastern fare. Like many no-frills Middle Eastern restaurants of this sort, it also carries a variety of Levantine groceries as well. The dwali(grape leaves), foul medamas, and falafel are incredible and the owners are very nice as well as quite prompt in getting the food out to you. They also know their way around a good cheeseburger and even a proper Philly steak! The interior is warm and welcoming if something of a jumble – don’t expect anything fancy, this truly is a deli/take-away type place(though it’s more fun to sit and eat and talk with the owner and other patrons, really). You’d expect something like this tucked in between a massive bank tower and a dry cleaner in Atlanta or Charlotte or Orlando, but finding it in a pragmatic corner of the outer reaches of an up-and-coming neighborhood in Savannah makes it all the more of a treat. I hope it stays around and is successful for many generations.

Amazing as always. Creamy hot falafel with their signature sauce. Crispy hot on outside, melt in your mouth on the inside. Gyros are out of this world! The only place I’ve been to that grills the tomatoes and onions, Their special sauce, not like a regular tzatziki, but more of a middle eastern ranch, cannot describe without americanizing it so I won’t. Just get it, it’s good. The meat is carved off of the skewer and grilled on the flat alongside tomatoes and onions AND the warm fluffy pita which is also getting browned on the flat, then everything curls up in what I would call a WARM blanket of tasty! We live an hour and a half away and whenever we want an inexpensive yet delicious meal,(5.99 just for sandwich or you can get wrap, fries, and a drink for 8.99) while we are in Savannah, this is where we go! Try it!

Driving into the city late on a Weds. night, we saw the reviews for this place and squeezed in at around 8:30. Very sheepishly we asked if the owner would be okay serving us, since we were the only ones around. He told us it was fine for us to sit down and enjoy our meals, and enjoy we did. Everything to from the Hummus to the Chicken Gyro and even our son’s nuggets were perfectly prepared. Topping the meal off with Baklava made a wonderful dinner perfect. The ambiance of the place is eclectic, with a smattering of middle eastern groceries available to buy and National Geographic covers from the last 40 years covering the walls. Why? You’ll have to stop in and ask yourself. My wife said it best«I wish we lived in Savannah so we could eat here all the time, but more importantly be friends with the owner, he is truly a good man.» This was after 45 minutes! Eat here during your stay, if not you’ll have missed a wonderful experience, along with a very fine meal.

Authentic middle eastern food is what you will find here and it is GOOD. Let me say that again, the food is AMAZING. My boyfriend raves about this place and I had never been. We went for lunch on a Saturday and it was doing some great business. The shop has one side that is the stove and where the owners run the place and the other side is some benches for waiting and a couple of tables to eat at in-house. When you order, you just kind of shout out the order and the man cooks it up. My boyfriend got a gyro platter and I got the gyro sandwich and fries. The babaganush is incredibly tasty and the pita is warmed perfectly to go with it. The gyro was mouthwateringly good too! You don’t pay until the end which is cool for the kind of walk-up and order place that it is. The baklava is a must get as you leave so you can take a little piece of this place with you. Its a hidden gem of Savannah that everyone who loves middle eastern must go to!
