Go somewhere else — stay away from the National/Alamo counter at this airport. Incredibly rude and unprofessional service. Expect your agent to be doing four or five things at once, and you — the customer at the counter — will be the the least important of all. We were able to hear Amber, the agent, complain that they didn’t have the class of car we had reserved ready and would have to give us a car that was in a higher class. It became very evident from the conversation, even though she did finally walk away from us while she argued with the Alamo staff in the garage. The car we received was in the class we reserved so, after hearing that conversation, I’m reasonably sure it was a returned car that had not been checked, but was quickly put back into service to avoid having to give up a car from another class. She handed us our paperwork with no explanation of where to go other than pointing to a door. We got out there and had no idea whether we were to wait or where to go. When she came out herself just after us, I asked her and she complained loudly that she’d circled it on the paperwork — to which I said, «but you didn’t point that out or tell us». .. and her reply was, «well, I always do.» A really bad experience and I’ll be watching my credit card bill carefully for any overcharges. I do NOT trust this Alamo location.
