Excellent Thai food! Good beer (try the Boomy Bock on tap). Great service. I would go back.

I wish we could give a 5 star but beef phở noodles were too thick and clumped. my girld were not a fan. I ordered seafood tofu soup and THAT was delicious. Nicely seasoned and a lot of seafood, congee style. Staff was friendly and décor was hip. We were craving Asian food so not too much complaints!

5 because the food is incredible. We came here last year on a walk in accident best accident ever. The service was so good informative funny outgoing just what we like. We couldn’t wait to come back. The service this time not so great. Flat. Like hello are you in there? Colby really? Definitely changed our experience for the fun atmosphere we loved last year. We got the food Togo! All bars serve food and beer. It’s the bartenders that should make the experience memorable!

Food takes way too long…45 minutes. Michael, the waiter was extremely rude. The theme is a contradiction. It has the feel of a loud sports bar with 80’s music but the food it Thai and Vietnamese. Will not return.

This is a new review as the last one is obviously old! Lady Saigon @ Boomy’s has gotten their act together! Food is out at a timely manner and it is fabulous! I will go back and have gone back with the same results! Go and enjoy!

Cool bar that serves Thai/​Vietnamese food! Kind of weird combination and I’ll admit I was skeptical at first but we ordered the potstickers and they were great! Next time, I’m going to try the Phở since I haven’t found a place in Savannah yet :)

Slow bar. Ok bartenders. Pricey drinks. Nice hangout bar if you don’t want to get stuck waiting for a drink. Not the most popular bar but decent.

Those steamed potstickers will be a recurring character in my dreams. The. Best. Order the soft shell crab too. We also loved the pad Thai, but the apps are where it’s at.
We found this place bc my folks had been and suggested it. We never would have gone in otherwise. Who would have ever expected such great food at a dive? Just go!

We have traveled in both Thailand and Vietnam, so we’re kind of picky when it comes to those foods, and this was delicious! We had the pad see euw and cashew stir fry and both were great. Fresh veggies and lots of flavor. Service was great even in a busy Saturday night, great selection of bottled beers. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere!

Excellent Thai & Vietnamese food from a bar! Awesome. Boomys is not quite divey, but close. I really like the ambiance.
It took us a while to narrow down our choices (with a little help from Unilocalers): drunken noodles with tofu and red curry with chicken. You’re asked to gauge your preferred heat level, 1 — 6. We ordered 5 and both entrees were fairly spicy. So I imagine if you like hot and ask for 6 it will be decently fired up. Both entrees hit the spot and portions are generous.
Three tasty condiments delivered to the table: a roasted garlic in oil, a spicy red and a brown (hoisin?) sauce.
Excellent service — our drinks, food and check were all delivered promptly and with a smile.

Street parking only but it doesn’t seem to be a problem during the week. We came here on a weekday before 6 PM and had no trouble finding a close spot.
Boomys is not loud at all, at least early on when it isn’t packed. Music was background only.
Highly recommended. I’d be a regular if I lived in Savannah.

When you walk in you’ll think you’ve arrived at the wrong place — it is a straight up bar. I would never in a million years think that this place would put out such great food but they do — the red curry was excellent and the Pad Thai was the best I’ve had. I don’t really love peanuts in my noodles but it’s not so bad in theirs as it has a nice citrus flavor as well.
They have a self-​named beer that is very good for only being $ 2.50 and I didn’t have one but the fact that they have lemon ginger Jameson slushies is pretty special too.
The music can get a little loud and the bar crawls were passing through while we were there so there were a few rowdy characters but I’m not convinced that’s a usual thing.

The place was a blessing since we wanted to chill and eat late and there were few places offering that. We wanted to eat Thai being one my comfort food after a day of hangover.
Between 3 of us we ordered a pad thai, panang curry, dumplings and tom kha soup and i know how authentic food tastes. It wasn’t close. Pad thai tasted more like ramen noodles, dumplings too bland and panang curry tasted more like spicy red curry. Tom Kha was the saving grace of entire dinner experience.

The food was very tasty and service was good. We ordered red curry noodles and a Vietnamese rice dish. It’s a nice option that the menu offers both Vietnamese and Thai options. The atmosphere is a bar atmosphere so would not be appropriate for families. Otherwise the restaurant is very good and I would visit again.

Unbeknownst to us when we walked into this large biker sports bar playing pop music, it had the most amazing Thai and Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to Thailand and Vietnam. Never would I have thought the food was that exceptional. Bartender Andrew was super friendly. He even let us try their big summer hit, a slushy Jameson. Ginger ale and ginger beer.

We decided on this place because we were in an Asian mood.
Drinks are decently priced and there is a lot of variety. Decent drink specials, IMO.
(1) Did not love the spring rolls — but then again, I’m used to chili sauce with mine and that’s how I prefer to eat them.
(2) Our entrees were REALLY good and two of the three dishes had a ton of food. I will say this — I LOVE me some salt and I thought some things were VERY salty, so just an FYI.
(3) The only issue, really, was the service. Our server was more than pleasant but he was the only server so he was running around every table, back to the kitchen, etc. At one point toward the end of our meal, someone in our party ordered a beer. And we waited. And waited. And waited until the bartender FINALLY gave it to the server. By this time we were ready to leave! I mean how long does it take to get a beer…

Best thing to happen to savannah! Keep it up. You won’t find a more inviting bar to get a awesome drink and consistently great food. Hats off to the staff, never been let down and constantly impressed with the kick ass food, drinks and atmosphere.

Plenty of beer to choose from, but I must say the food is the very best Asian dishes I’ve had since visiting Thailand. They even have a late menu with tasty staples which I sampled around 1:30am, yum!
I ordered a Phở Ga earlier during the cold afternoon… Excellent!!!
Late night calamari was my favorite, plus dumplings and spring rolls, I was in heaven!
Can’t wait to have some more of that tasty Food… Yummmmm!

The atmosphere was fun and the staff was friendly. The night I stopped in they had karaōke! I was impressed by the karaōke selection because the DJ had a lot of current song.
I also ordered Asian Sweet wings (can’t remember their name) that were awesome. I was also very happy the wings came with fries. Most places charge an additional amount to get fries with wings.
I will be back soon!

Stopped in on our pub crawl & were in & out fairly quickly. Service was good, but we weren’t here long enough — I’d stop back because the vibe was chill.
