This is now Castaways in Sandfly and it is a really great spot for excellent food. It is located in Norwood Plaza in Sandfly, but don’t let the strip mall location deter you as it really is worth the trip. Excellent seafood, burgers and casual coastal cuisine. Once again, Chef Kirk Blaine shows what an amazing and creative chef he is. I have been here a number of times and everything I have ordered was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

The food was fantastic. It came out extremely hot, and was seasoned well. My wife had a cheeseburger and fries, while I had a chili cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger came on a fantastic bun/​roll. My wife is somewhat of a burger snob and she still talks about how fantastic it was. It is definite bar food, but they do a great job at it. The service/​bartender was fantastic. Found out it was her last day and she did a fantastic job. The kids were given a free donut for dessert just because the «hot now» sign was on.
The only complaint is the décor. There were two lights for pool tables and no tables there. The pool table was away from the light. Video game was hard to get to, and the ping pong tables was braced by a flip flop.
I have no trouble saying that I will return!!!

Waited an hour for a take out bacon cheese burger with no bacon-​and not very crowded. Got the feeling they were trying to make me drink another beer. Service and food were way below par.

The chicken wings and fries are really good. Service is average. They are listed as taking the Savannah Menu dining card for 15% off. but never honor it. I gave them 4 stars because their wings are good and for $ 1 the fries are a great deal.

I had all the time to explore, observe and make a conclusion about this place.
I’ve been here for about 3 hours, and had noted down all the bad things and good things about this place.
Food — Mediocre food, don’t want to disappoint their management but the food here was messy. The taste was okay, better than any Food Stands that you know of.
Service — Okay, not that appealing to me. I would prefer the service on any fastfood (McDonalds or KFC) because their much slower than these two.
To wrap it all up. The experience was somewhat disappointing. Didn’t knew this place was the worst, wont bother to come back again anytime soon.

Just a very average local watering hole. Service was well below average.. Bartender would look away when talking to you.. was on the phone while talking to a guest that just walked in. Paid 20 bucks for a beer appetizer and burger so the pricing was fair. Atmosphere was nothing much as well

If you are looking for a quiet place to watch the game on Saturday afternoon… this place is for you. It was my date, my aunt and me for about an hour and then a few other patrons strolled in.
We had a few beers and watched the NBA play-​offs. It was nice to have the place to ourselves most of the time and the two bartenders that switched shifts while we were there were both chatty and friendly.
Wasn’t a lot happening for a Sunday afternoon, but that was what we were looking for… plus it was gorgeous outside, most people were probably on their boats.

The «Smitty Burger» is definitely a treat, if not a tad pricey. The décor is well done, although the layout of the dining area is a bit chaotic. This a great place to stop in for drink after work… and a burger.
Most noteable: The bar’s commitment to local musicians is extremely refreshing at a time when the City of Savannah’s «leadership»… has all but declared war on live music at City events.
Definitely worth a look!

The worst yet! Came on a Sunday. There appeared to be only one waitress. Waited an hr for our food. We ordered a burger, fries, chicken wings, and chili fries.
The burger was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The patty was a joke. I’ve gotten better in the frozen food section.
The fries were regular. The chilli fries were mainly cheese sprinkled with meat. Not the best.
The wings were passable. Not great but ok.
The prices are a little high for what we got IMO. I’ve had better food/​prices at ihop.
The décor is really confusing. I think it used to be an upscale Asian place but now it’s a big open restaurant with tables sprinkled willy Nilly around. The best part of the space was the bathroom which was totally chic.

Gross, gross, gross. The food is waaay overpriced for what you get. $ 8 for an anemic hamburger (about the size of a McDonalds hamburger, and about the same quality)? I think not. Bartender assumed that me and the other black person in the bar were on the same tab without even asking. SKIP!
