Really great restrant. Small but very cool. Excellent broccoli shrimp. Has a neat fishtank for the kids. Chef Wan has won multiple trophies for great food. Four stars.

Attempted calling the restaurant today to place an order for pick-up, and was met with this voice mail message: «Thanks for calling Chef Wan’s. We will be closed all day July 4th, have a great day.». I’m writing this review on July 11th… I thought I traveled back in time for a second LOL. But seriously, they should change that. Causing a lot of confusion. *Update* Re-dialed the number and was met with a friendly greeting from a woman on the phone. She took my name down, my phone number, and my order. I then told her about the voice mail I received from dialing previously, and she was thankful and seemed confused as to why as well. I am looking forward to seeing how the food tastes. This is my first time eating here. *Update v.2* Returning to the restaurant. I ordered the sesame chicken meal with fried rice. The portions were spot on, the fried rice tasted very good and had decent amounts of vegetables and chicken. I thoroughly enjoyed the taste from the previous time which is why I am visiting again. The taste is how I expect ft sesame chicken to taste, will recommend.

The food is really good and fresh. Instead of them making a dinning room they should have expanded their kitchen and focused entirely on TAKEOUT! My order was placed an hour and a half ago. STILLWAITING! :(. Bet it’s cold when it gets here. :/

Food = good Time to get food = bad I live literally a block away, and it took an hour from when I placed the order until delivery. They also don’t open on Saturday until 4:30. Maybe I’m the only one that feels this way, but I don’t plan a day in advance about ordering chinese. If I want it, I want it soon. The food is good enough, so as long as you order BEFORE you’re hungry you should do alright(unless it’s Saturday, apparently).

Wanted some Chinese and heard this place was good so we went. I wanted to sit down and eat dinner, but apparently everyone(this includes employees and I guess the owner and family) decided no customer should be able to sit down and occupied EVERYTABLE. This forced us to settle for take out. It was frustrating because a table that could have been used was covered in laptops and who knows what. They were also watching a kids show at full blast, so I guess I would rather just get take out anyway. The food was pretty decent, but I am now sick from it. I recommend the tofu soup and triple delight if you choose to go.

Greeted by a heavy-set woman in a pink sweat outfit who was, um, quite rough around the edges and rude. I ordered a meal for my wife and family online, came in 15 minutes later and she gave me this big excuse that the food wasn’t ready and that I «just placed it». I came in merely to wait patiently yet she reacted with an unfriendly attitude for some reason. Another regular guest came in and she lit up with big smiles. I feel that this restaurant could use a far better front-end customer service person. Food was good. Hope this helps. update: I spoke with the owner’s daughter — she was much friendlier and sincere, I appreciated this a lot, and we’ll give them a try again.

Though it’s not the best Chinese on earth, it is definitely the best on the Islands. We didn’t have a single thing we didn’t like. The hot and sour soup was particularly tasty and has a sort of lemongrass tinge to it, which really takes it to another, and better, level. The steamed pork dumplings were unbelievable — sooooo greasy and tasty in a very good way. The General Tso’s chicken could have been crispier, but the Mongolian beef was wonderfully sweet. I also recommend the House Fried Rice, which comes in large amounts and is not too greasy. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The inside of the place, while small, is very cute, with colorful and fun decorations all over. They also deliver, which is obviously a big bonus. This is our go-to Chinese restaurant — give it a try, it might become yours too.

The sesame chicken and beef broccoli are very good. We have also had their fried wantons, egg drop soup and egg rolls which were all good. The prices are reasonable. The delivery guy frequently forgets our sauce then takes 45 mins to return with it when we live right behind them.

We had Chef Wan for takeout last night and it was pretty good. General Tso’s and Veggie Lo Mein were both tasty and fresh. Definitely a go to quick dinner since we live right around the corner.

I would go probably 3 here. The general tso’s is about average(maybe slightly above). The fried rice is good, but not great. I didn’t care for their hot and sour soup. Just didn’t really like it. I bump them up because it’s relatively cheap, I found the service to be friendly, and they have a healthy food section on the menu which is incredibly rare for a Chinese spot. I would come back here.

The place may not look like much, but behind the somewhat cheap exterior lies a pleasant surprise. The staff were nice, the food was decent, and, for the price, plentiful.
