Don’t waste your time here. Roaches were crawling all over food bar. We set our plates down and walked out

Large Restaurant with tables to accommodate parties of 6 or more. Ordered from menu — take out, the mixed vegetables were limited in my dish. Mainly cabbage and celery and lettuce family. No broccoli, few if any carrots, no baby corn, etc., To much soy sauce. While I was there there were plenty of customers picking up orders.

Chen’s Chinese is a Chinese buffet restaurant in a small shopping center off of DeRenne near the intersections with Bull and Abercorn. .. so it’s rather easy to get to if not so easy to find. Just look for a rather desolate shopping plaza on the northern side of DeRenne at Abercorn and Chen’s is on the western side of that plaza. The food at Chen’s, like many Chinese buffets, is hit or miss in that if you get there when it’s busy it will be pretty decent overall. Another good option is to order off the dim sum menu, which they will provide you with should you ask for it. Otherwise, they assume you’ll have the buffet just like every other customer. The atmosphere is far better than most buffets: kinda run-down and worn but at the same time, very charming with Chinese decorations and huge booths circa the mid 1980s. I discovered Chen’s mainly because I was hungry for decent Chinese on my way back from Oglethorpe Mall one day. It’s certainly not out of this world, but again it’s alright and if you ask for dim sum or for things like sauces they will try to make you happy, especially if you demonstrate knowledge of Chinese food beyond knowing what an egg roll is. .. this is a cute little place too often overlooked. Plus, where else in Savannah will you hear vintage Leon Lai and Cally Kwong songs on the stereo?
