I love cook out and how they stay open till late, but o my gosh their drive thru is terrible. I ask for a bbq plate they give me a sandwich. They always try to rush me to get my total and leave, but I’m not done ordering! I ask to review my order and she just ignore me for about 5 minutes. Please improve your staffing on the drive thru!!!

I like this place compared to the other fast food burger places. You get a lot of food for $ 6. Milkshakes are the best fast food ones, except chick-FIL-a. Staff could use some work though.

I really enjoyed my hot dog and milk shake, but I was surprised how dirty the counter was at the drinks station. I was also surprised by the size of my friends order of fries and the«big» burger, the were very small.

Let me start out by saying they have great food of great quality. But the reasons I am giving them only a two star review is because they lack customer service. They need to take the time to catch up on their customer service skills. Instead of keep asking«anything else, Sir(Mam)» try asking«How would you like that, Sir(Mam)». I mean come on, when I am ordering I like to be asked whether I would like a Regular, Large, or Huge drink it helps illiterate what I am ordering and that you understood exactly what I ordered and that there was no misunderstanding between us. Also when you have a customer come in to order at least Say«Welcome, Thank You for choosing Cook Out» it illiterates that your happy that I here at your restaurant and am ordering food from you. I mean after all I am paying you for it which means more money. So for the 2 star review it is because of the lack of customer service which carries more weight than your quality of food. Be aware just make sure you tell them what all you want don’t expect them to ask you how you would like it, like most places would.

So– my mom, dad, my son and I went by cookout to get milkshakes and teas. Got home(2 miles away– NOT enough time to melt) and our milkshakes were complete liquid. So, I called cookout 3 times and they didn’t pick up. Then, my mom realized she didn’t get her card back. They finally answered for her and told her they didn’t have her card… Must’ve been her fault, right? Wrong. Three of us checked the car, our wallets, EVERYTHING. We KNEW we didn’t get our credit card back– they said we did. So I went to cookout myself to see if maybe it was dropped out the drive thru window. I told the cashier what I was doing to which she replied«we already took care of that so you can just leave.» The manager happened to walk up when she said that and I said, «really? You’re going to talk to me like that?» To which she said, «I don’t have your damn card, you need to quit bothering me about that shit.» What did the manager say? Nothing. She let her speak to me that way. I KNOW we didn’t get our card back, and she cursed at me for looking for it– giving her the benefit of the doubt. I will NEVER go back there, except to let the GM and corporate know what happened. I realize things get misplaced but that is NOT what happened here. The people that work there are the absolutely WORSTPEOPLE I’ve ever met. Don’t go there. The food is terrible, the service is even worse, and they steal! If I could give no stars, I would.

I took one bite of my burger and spit it out. Worst dry burger I have ever had even with condiments. Burger was not fresh. However the fries were pretty good. Will not be returning.

Coming from New York I have never heard of this place but man lemme tell you this place is freaking awesome. My hotel was conveniently located across the street and this place was intriguing enough to check out. I am glad I did. Best fastfood place ive ever been too. Soooo many food options, awesome meal options and 40 different shake flavors. Tasted great for fastfood quality food, large portions, great service and clean environment. Would love a place like this to open on Long Island

This is a must visit place!!! You can get a Tray which is choice of one item like the Big Double Burger, chopped pork sandwich, etc PLUS two side items(such as chicken wrap or bacon wrap or steak quesadilla or corn dog!) and a huge sweet tea all for $ 4.99. Or add $ 1 and get a shake. Crazy good prices, very affordable, and you leave with a full belly. Been to the one in North Carolina, and it’s the same good quality as Savannah. Burger is char grilled, so it’s got a great taste also. Drive through or eat in, and the place is clean.

I have ordered food from the drive thru more times than I can count. The food is always delicious but out of the 100 times I have gone through the drive through I think twice I have gotten my order right. Tip, do not change how they make their burgers or ask for tomatoes etc. You probably won’t get them and you have to pay extra for it.

Pretty good! I was a little annoyed when I asked if they did burgers low-carb style, and one cashier flatly said«No.» But the one actually taking my order asked a manager, and it turns out that yes, they do. The burgers tasted great, like straight off the grill. I hear the milkshakes are glorious, will try one next time! Hopefully the staff gets to know the options a little better and lose the attitude. :)

I’m a huge fan of the CookOut Style Burger. I also like that style on their hot dogs. Chili and coleslaw were made for each other, an indisputable fact of life which will almost certainly be proven by science soon. The prices are incredibly low and kudos for carrying Cheerwine(my favorite soda!) There’s no pretentious nature to this place. If you come for something that tastes like it has been grilled in your own backyard, you will leave 100% satisfied. If you’re looking for something more — you’re at the wrong restaurant. I’m a huge fan. For a quick burger that tastes better than the big chains and won’t hurt your wallet — this is it in Savannah.

Don’t go unless you have a LOT of time to waste. We ordered two milkshakes, and only two milkshakes. It took over an hour and then they got the order wrong. Definitely will never go back.

Cookout is a great fast food chain, I have eaten at locations in the Charlotte, North Carolina area and the new Savannah restaurant is just as fast and accurate as it’s counterparts.

Just recently opened and the staff is still going through training but they did their best to take our order, and get me and my wife our food. Very good, the hamburger tasted and smelled like it had been cooked on a barbecue grill. Both of us had left over fries. We’ll be back.

We stopped in on 4th of July– I’d originally planned to cook a nice meal at home, but Target lured me in a little longer than expected. It was either Cook Out or Jalapeño’s for dinner, so we choose Cook Out(being good Americans and all). I’d heard about Cook Out during my short time living in Virginia, but never got to experience it. Whoever installed the menu board didn’t do a very good job– I’m ridiculously short and couldn’t see the whole board unless I was a standing a foot from the counter. So I while in line I had to lean down to see the half the menu. My husband, who’s almost a foot taller had to squat on the floor to see any of the menu. I guess we could have waited until we were at the register to decide what we wanted, but people tend to get pissy when you do that. The food here is insanely cheap. You can get a «Cook Out Tray» for 4.99. This comes with your choice of entrée(Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken Sandwichs, BBQ Sandwich, and one or two more choices), your choices of 2 side(Quesadilla, fries, chicken nuggets, Hush puppies, onion rings, corn dog, and more) and a choice of drink(Lg soda, Tea, Cheerwine, or a Coke float). I chose the ¼ burger, fries, and chicken nuggets(for the toddler) as my meal. The burger was okay– nothing mindblowing but did have a nice grilled taste, the fries were fries– nothing special, and the toddler was less than impressed with the nuggets– of course she is the kid who prefers the sharpest cheese she can get her little hands on, sushi, roasted asparagus and many other things I wouldn’t even think of eating until my mid20s. My main issue with the restaurant was how the food was served. My little hippie heart cried a little when I saw that everything comes out in a styrofoam container, even if you are eating inside the restaurant. The waste created by all that styrofoam astronomical, and adds nothing to the value, taste, quality of the food. If you want cheap fast food and don’t mind waste, this place is great. I’ll probably be sticking to the local, tastier, healthier, less wasteful Burger joints.

Food is a very good bargain for its cost but they screwed up my order the very first time I visited. I went to the drive up and I had asked for a huge burger, low carb(a lettuce wrap, no bun) with cheese, bacon and chili. The huge burger is ½lb. The lady tried to repeat my burger order but got it wrong so I told her again what I wanted. She said it back but I told my BF that I think it was going to be wrong. When I got to the pick-up window, I told the girl there that it was supposed to be a huge burger, low carb with bacon, cheese and chilli. Someone inside told her that they couldn’t do that so I told her give me the huge burger and I would remove the bun myself. I told my BF that the last Cookout I had visited had simply put my low carb burger in a styrofoam tray and I couldn’t see why they couldn’t do this as well. I got my food and had a bad feeling about this. Sure enough, we got home and I was given a single burger with that seemed like a quarter head of lettuce. A huge tomato slice and a large slice of white onion. I’m guessing that we got charged the price for regular burger as that is what the ticked showed as being rung up but the woman on the drive-up intercom wasn’t listening because I had said huge burger twice, and even thought at the window the girlsty there was told they could not do a huge burger low carb style and I said give me a huge burger regular and I will take the bun off, I got a single low carb style. So much for listening to what the customer wants. It all tasted very good, bacon wasn’t crispy but still good. My dog’s hamburger was nice and hot. I will definitely go back but will probably go inside to order. I hope that this was just growing pains.
