I think I just ate imitation Imitation Crab-meat. We visited Hop Xing Garden City location Sunday 1÷10÷16 and their food quality has gone way down from a few months ago. Me and the hubs ordered simple fried dishes — fried chicken wings with pork fried rice and fried crab sticks with chicken fried rice. The plain fried wings were very very greasy and breaded just enough to show the feathers that weren’t properly cleaned off. The wings didn’t taste seasoned at all and the way my husband’s greedy is set up he drowned them in hot sauce and wolfed em down. The fried crab sticks were so so sad. The«crab» was doughy and so soft, like the inside of a hot pretzel but denser. Not even a hint of crab /seafood flavor; whatever it was didn’t come out of the ocean. The breading is the same breading on frozen fish sticks and no flavor whatsoever. That wasn’t even the worst. The rice was the worst. The hard fried rice contained a little meat, green onion and white onion. Fried rice should be cooked properly and full of veggies and egg and this was not. I’d tell you if it was good but in this case I gotta tell you the food was bad all around, flavorless and off textured.

Stayed at a local hotel after an 18 hr drive from Massachusetts and we were too tired to have a sit down dinner. This was close by and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, nice price too.

My lady friend on I have gone to quite alot of Asian restaurants… Japanese and Chinese… depending on our moods it can be either sit in and take out… and we’ve both agreed this is the go to place for fair priced and best prepared food no matter what it is you order… many places have one or two really good items… here, everything has been great… every time… on top of that the owners are always so friendly and so helpful its amazing

Decent chinese take-out. Reliably good. Nothing gourmet, but I am always satisfied. Service is quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable.

Very helpful staff with an extensive menu and very reasonable prices. Only 4 booths for seating Modest, feels like more of a take out place. I’m from CA and now living in Seattle so standards aren’t in parity but I experienced this as a good home cooked meal. Give this hard working family some of your business.

Great food! In this unassuming little restaurant you will find a Great Chinese place. Not much in the way of seating or atmosphere but the food is superb. Love the House Lo Mein which includes Pork, Chicken, Shrimp with the standard lomein noodles and veggies. Pair that with the House Special Fried rice and boom. taste sensation. Their General Tso chicken is very good as well combining just enough sweet and spice. Food is always fresh made and there is never more than a 10 minute wait for your meal which i tend to use to run to food lion to get drinks or desserts for after dinner. The Egg rolls are yummy as well. Like i said not much to look at but Good Food!

Between the Food Lion and Family Dollar. Standard Chinese fare, but simple and affordable.

In the strip mall, fast food wasteland that is Garden City, it was refreshing and exciting to have a Chinese buffet restaurant open. It soon became a weekly brunch destination for us. There’s nothing out of the ordinary offered and nothing is extraordinary Chinese cuisine, but it IS good, solid Chinese-American comfort food with extremely reasonable prices for all you can eat. Plenty of stir-fries, General Tso’s chicken, pork on skewers, little fried egg pancakes, noodles and such. Fresh fruit and almond cookies for dessert. They may have green tea, but it’s the south, so they’re perfectly well versed in serving sweet tea. I ate lunch here a lot too, until the day I «called in sick» to work, met a friend here for lunch and ran into my boss going in as I was leaving. Yeah, not so good.
