Nice base. When I lived in Savannah some-odd years ago, I frequented Hunter for the commissary, the gym, and the BX. The MWR ticket office was sort of a strange deal for me though — I was expecting a cashier’s cage of sorts but I was in an office when I bought tickets to the aquarium in ATL. Nonetheless, they got the job done.

Why not? Look at the cool photo. Army men and women keep us safe. This is a pretty nice base, even though it is a small one. I do like the golf course. It isn’t as nice as Ft Gordon, but it is nice. Also they do have a nice campground, and an excellent gym. There is nice outdoor pool with a kiddy slide. They have small bowling alley, with great prices. There is a hobby shop here too if you are into that sort of thing. There is a tiny exchange, but not all the name brand stuff is here. No Coach bags here ladies! There is not a PX-ta here either. Blast! Also if you are from another branch of the military, don’t even think about going to clothing sales. You branch will not be represented here. Last but not least for goodness sake, DON’T SPEED or use a PHONE on base. They ticket, they ticket often and it is costly. There are like 2MP’s for every square foot here. Be safe. Hope that helps.

Outstanding Army Base. Unreal quality of soliders, marines, airman, and coasties that serve at this location prepared to defend our liberties. Very nice base. Just watch your speed, the MP’s are everywhere.
