This is the only Korean restaurant in Savannah. I would like to recommend Dolsot bibimbap, Bulgogi, Ddukbokki and Japchae. Side dish comes with your meal on the side. I really enjoyed Korean food with my family.

Great food and great service! The hot bowl we had was tasty and plenty for two people. Price was fair for the amount of food given. Location is convenient and the restaurant is clean. When you are the only table in an Asian restaurant that isn’t an Asian person you know it has to be good food. The best critics of cultural foods are those that grew up eating it. As a German person I am the biggest critic of German food.

We ate here 3 times! Kimchi chigae was outstanding — good broth. Hwaemul jongol excellent. Bibim nyengmyeon was good, gochuchang not too sweet which is always a good thing. The not so positives: Panchan unappetizing. One night we had a real nasty waitress who obviously wanted to be anywhere but at work. Young guy waiter very polite. Umshik is good here.

Sooo good! We shared galbi jim, which is a big bowl of galbi cooked with carrots, potatoes and a yummy sauce. Came with choice of dried or steamed rice and 4 different banchans, kimchi, sweet potato, lunch I cucumber and sprouts… all was soooooo yummy!!! Cooked perfectly, and our server super nice. Will be coming back whenever we need our Korean food fix!

After retiring from the Army and moving to Cincinnati, its been a long while since I’ve had any Korean food We decided to take a trip to Savannah, GA this week and had our fill of seafood and BBQ. Looking for something different, we drove around our hotel in midtown and spotted Kimchi 2. Being curious I looked up the reviews on Unilocal and decided to take the plunge. Everything said of the ambience is true. Korean pop on the TV as soon as you walk in. But what I also noticed when we walked in was that we were the only non-Korean’s in the place. A very good sign !! We were greeted by a smiling server who immediately seated us and took our drink order. My girlfriend had never had Korean food before, so I started easy. We ordered the Bulgogi hot pot for two. It arrived in about 5 minutes accompanied by a selection of kimchi, potato and cucumber kimchi and bean sprouts. As soon as the hot pot arrived, I knew it was the right choice. The delicious aroma from the rich looking broth wafted up into my nose and triggered memories from my time overseas. Meaty with vegetables and noodles. The broth was rich with flavor. The meat was sliced thin and you could tell it was the reason the broth was so rich. It also came with a side of both steamed and fried rice. We finished it all, savoring every spoonful ! If in the area give them a try. Lots of other traditional dishes to choose from.

We were in town and I had a craving for Korean food. The location was in a small strip next to a gas station. When we walked in, we were seated immediately and server was nice. I ordered Korean cold noodle and hate to say it wasn’t the best. Noodles were over cooked(mushy) and just specks of meat. I asked for hot sauce and server said there was a charge. Overall, it satisfies my craving but it was nothing like Atlanta Korean food!

The portion is way too small! It’s not the same as few years back. If you have been to other Korean restaurants, you will know, this is not even to the standards.

Sometime I feel sad that we only have one Korean restaurant in Savannah. But kimchi never disappoints. Always fresh, authentic, good Korean food. They have all of my fave Korean dishes: bibimbap(hot or cold), cold buckwheat noodles and Kimchi spicy soup. The waitresses are always very nice. The only downside is that they don’t serve any alcohol and you can’t do byob either.

I love Korean food and it’s such a shame there’s only one restaurant in Savannah. The portion size here are very modest and that’s okay but I don’t think the seafood in my soon tofu(too much onions, not enough broth) was up to par or even safe to serve. Waitress was very kind but I was just not impressed with the food, they only have 4 kinds of banchan and the only thing I really enjoyed was the spicy rice cake ddukbokgi.

We started out with the fried dumpling which was so tender it seem to melt in my mouth. Chicken bulgogi was awesome it had a great flavor. We also had miso soup that also had a wonderful taste. I like the fact everything was fresh. I felt as if I had a home cooked meal. I plan on coming back to this gem of a place.

I have driven past this place for 5 years and never bothered to go in, it’s very regrettable. I will be going back and soon. I was with a Korean friend who ordered several things and we shared them. I’m not sure what all she ordered but it was all excellent. I can’t wait to go back.

Ate here a second time, which was worse than the first. It really is nothing to get excited about. The food is very bland tasting I thought, which is very surprising for asian food. Hmmm, don’t think I will offer them a third try.

I had stopped here on a road trip with a group of friends wanting some Korean food for dinner. Since Atlanta was way out of the way we settled for this establishment. To start off the place itself was very nice looking and the interior design was nice. However, I’m not much for things like that unless I’m on a date or something. The service was decent and they seemed a little standoff-ish. The banchan they initially gave was very small, but good. Now to get to what we ordered. We all ordered something different and would share it amongst ourselves to try everything. We ordered chajang myung, bulgogi, ojingo bokum, and the last I can’t remember. When we got our meals they were underwhelming small. I’m used to most Korean restaurants not skimping out on food. The portions were enough for maybe a light lunch or children but not grown adults. Some of the food wasn’t even hot by the time it got to us. I will give them that it tasted good, but it was so little that it took away from that. If I wanted small portions I would’ve gone to a French restaurant not here. Due to the demeanor of the staff and food I have to give this place only 2 stars.

Unfortunate but two stars is what I think is fair! Been here twice first time it was outstanding the service is exceptional food was great! This time around was Wednesday night last week don’t get me wrong if I ordered a meal and I ask for certain things set aside on my plate I would have appreciated that but the waitress didn’t seem as if she spoke English fluently. Food I did not eat I was not pleased getting a cold meal apparently it was a cold dish that was recommended I still paid for my food regardless I am not the type to refuse to pay even if the food was bad the service was good drinks came on time and the appetizer was excellent if you are really into cold food or authentic Korean food then you should come bring a translator I will not be visiting anytime soon unfortunately good luck

Great place for Korean in Savannah area. We moved from another state that had a few great Korean places. We have been wanting to try this place and it didn’t disappoint. I am very excited Togo back and try more meals. The bulgogi was a little different than I am used to, but it was still delicious. The chop Che was amazing. I would definitely recommend that. My husband ordered it and I kep stealing bites! Meals are served with sides of kimchi, cucumber kimchi, sprouts, and some sort of potato. This place makes an excellent cucumber kimchi. Not kid friendly at all, although I didn’t really expect it to be. They don’t have any milk. I just brought him some snacks and he was happy!

Amazing food! Taking away one star for the quantity, which is extremely less for the price. Now let’s get into the details — Food first– Ddukbokki — If you get the large order of this, you get the egg as well in this heavenly, a li’l soupy dish of ricecakes, dumpling and what not! We ended up ordering 2 of these and were still left wanting for more. Chicken bulgogi — Order this one at a high spice level and love it! Surprisingly, this was better than the spicy pork we had. Spicy Squid Noodles — This one was okay. It is thick noodles and not that great squid. The taste was fine, but this is not a dish I’d get again. Sides of kimchi, pickled cucumbers, sweet potatoes, bean sprouts — were good, except that you can get refills of these only if you order as many entrees as the number of people on your table. Service — Pretty good Ambience — Pretty nice Location — Now this was the catch. So we were in Savannah for a vacation and would never have found this place except for the fact that it was a Sun, we were running late for lunch(3PM) and most restaurants with decent ratings were closed in the historic downtown. Besides, who would think of looking up a Korean restaurant in Savannah! So the filtered results on Unilocal n tripadvisor pointed us to this one, but en route we were betting we’d gotten lost. So if you are new in town, or just visiting this beautiful city, like us, then here are a couple of things. if you are in the historic downtown, then you’d be driving away all the way to Montgomery Rd, almost 8 miles or so away and you might wonder if you are heading the right way inspite of the GPS. Don’t you worry, if you don’t see any restaurants, or any shops whatsoever, just follow the GPS and you will see this restaurant in a small shopping complex. Just near to it, there is a Parkers gas station too, I I remember it right.
