Kobo is an authentic local gallery with stunning work of all kinds. If you want chintzy tourist trinkets, go to River Street. If you want creative, thought-provoking, one-of-a-kind art, go to Kobo!

I love KOBO Gallery! The art is fantastic and the jewelry is awesome. Very creative and perfect for gift giving. The artists themselves staff the gallery so you can talk to them about their creations!

I love Kobo! It’s a lovely place filled with amazing pieces of art made by local artists. My favorite is the jewelry by Christi Reiterman; they are my go to pieces for gifts for friends and family. They are so beautiful and unique. Definitely worth a stop if you’re looking for some new jewelry for your collection or a gift. I also really love that Kobo is staffed and run by the local artists themselves. It makes me really want to shop there all the time so that they can continue to make these wonderful works of art. Also, the gallery is right down town, two steps from City Market, and is simply welcoming. Highly recommend you check it out!

Incredible talent. Beautiful curation. Fantastic price points to build your heirloom quality collection or give a «made with love» considerate gift. At Kobo, you get to meet the artists who are creating the work. Farm to table art expertise that will leave your mouth watering for more. Love this place.

I love the mix of artists represented in this gallery, and I always find amazing one-of-a-kind finds there. It’s my go-to place for holiday shopping! Also very happy to see representation of local artists — support local and handmade! It’s right downtown, close to everything, so I like to stop by when I’m in the area because there is always new things to see.

One of the handful of co-ops in Savannah. Exactly in line with what you would expect from a co-op. Many local artists, some whimsy and some professional classy. Definitely a large amount of art to pick and choose from in this little venue. Support local artists through this southern gem of an art gallery.

Very glad we found the Kobo Gallery. This is the kind of locally-focused place that deserves much support and success. I’d give Kobo five stars if it was just a little bigger and possibly more diversified, but that isn’t any fault of the gallery, it’s just my preference. In fact, the emphasis on jewelry won it five stars from my GF, also due in part to the cool earrings she picked up there. Most importantly, Kobo is a co-op featuring Savannah-based artists and craftspeople, including woodwork, fiber work, and photography as well as jewelry. It’s a real nice mix and I enjoyed talking with photographer Liza Crowley Judson about the co-op, her work and art in the Savannah area and beyond. My favorite galleries are those that are free of pretense, from the work to the workers, and Kobo is definitely a down-to-earth place. In a lot of ways it reminds me of City Art [SF] and Flux Gallery [Jax] just in case you happen to be familiar with either of those places. Stop in, support local artists and help keep the creative juices flowing if you’re in the area. Highly recommended.
