This place is great! My husband and I have been to many breweries, both in the north and south. The beer here was awesome, with a style and taste for anyone(a Saison for me, a Double IPA for my hubby). They had plenty of activities(darts, ping pong) to keep a group entertained. Service is close enough to Savannah sightseeing that you can probably walk if you are visiting the city. Like most active breweries, they aren’t open many hours, but make the time to go when they are open. You won’t regret it!

Showed up for tour and they had Lyn Avenue performing live which was fantastic! Oh yea the beer was great too. Especially the Tart Strawberry chocolate Black IPA!

Service Brewing Co. is awesome! We had the best time ever yesterday! Kelly took us on a tour of the brewery, and introduced us to Black Hawk and Chinook(the brewery cat-dets). It’s amazing that only 8 people hold down the fort. Alex and Madeline were super cool. They made sure we were having a great time, and poured us the perfect beers. Bryan is the best bar-back(and lawyer) in the world :). And we can’t forget about Austin; he’s one of the brewers. He was great to talk to, and we are so excited to see what he comes up with next. We will definitely be back! Your friends, Pearce-Roberts-Soboleski

I absolutely love everything about this company. Their veteran owned, veteran operated business model is awesome. All their marketing is a spot on homage to the military(mostly Army) that I know they come from. And it’s great beer! I particularly like the Ground Pounder Pale Ale, Compass Rose IPA and Battlewagon Double IPA. They have a great space and awesome staff. One negative — the hours. I tried to stop by twice and they were closed — a Saturday evening and a Friday after 8PM. Also, their pricing model with tours is a little weird. I think they should just skip the tours, or just sell pints at the bar. Otherwise an amazing experience!

So glad I stopped here on my recent trip to Savannah. Veteran owned establishments hold a special place in my heart and this brewery did not disappoint. Great beers on tap — I especially liked the compass rose IPA and the Ground Pounder(two very different brews but both fantastic). The service(no pun intended) was especially awesome. I can’t remember the name of the girls serving us but they were both awesome and super friendly. The locals also boasted about this place which really showed how much pride they take in what they do. I would definitely recommend a stop here — just be sure to check the hours online as they are only open a short time per week. Oh and bonus: a portion of their revenue goes to charity so by drinking their beer you’re not only supporting a small business but also service men and women!

I heard the beer is good. But they wouldnt let us in with my daughter. 21 or older to go inside. It would be nice if that was mentioned anywhere on their website before we walked and took a taxi there. Luckily nobody with young children likes craft beer so…

So glad to have made it here on my Savannah trip! As we sat on a horrifically boring river cruise, I checked the opening times for Service and realized we’d have less than an hour post-docking to make it there. As such, as soon as we were able to get off the ship, I booked it to Service in the September heat — and likely looked like a disgusting mess upon arrival. Fortunately, all the staff members were kind and didn’t seem to be judging. They have different package options that allow you to buy a growler or six-pack to go. I went with the standard flight option: six pours. 6 oz. each. $ 12. Not bad! There were several on tap and I even changed my mind at the last minute for one of ‘em. Only bummer was that no porters or stouts were on yet, so the brewery was being very hop-forward. Since IPAs and I are currently taking a break, I tried to choose the least hoppy options overall. Honey saison, a slightly tart hefe, a pilsner, their Oktoberfest, SBC1(American Strong Ale), and, just for kicks, the Compass Rose IPA. These were quality pours. Standouts for me were the Oktoberfest and the SBC1. All in all, this was a nice, casual reprieve from the hot temps!

Love this brewery and the different events they have. If you love Brewery tours, it’s a great place to visit. My favorite is their Service Brewery Anniversary Beer. I love almost all their beers. You get to try six beers 6oz each or three beers for $ 12, which is called a Flight. There are other options as well where you can take a crowler or two home in addition to the flight for $ 18 and $ 22 respectively. They have brewery tours every half hour. They also have two cats, who are adorable! Don’t forget to check out their events on the social media. They have something going on almost every month. CHEERS!

Stopped in on a recent trip to Savannah and was beyond expressed! To start, the space is gorgeous, the building has been beautifully renovated with great attention to details. The tour was cool… not knowing much about the process of making beer, I found it really fascinating! I loved seeing the process from start to finish. Next we did a tasting(naturally the part I was most excited about)… and it did not disappoint! There were eight beers on tap with a mix of year round and seasonal brews. I tend to gravitate towards lighter beers, so the Ground Pounder Pale Ale was my favorite! Making the experience even better was the super friendly staff. Everyone seemed super happy to be there and were incredibly knowledgeable. If you’re in Savannah, go! My only complaint is that I can’t get Service in California… here’s hoping it will be available here soon!

Super cool brewery. We did the flight option but sadly after trying every beer they had we hated all of them. We were certain most people did as well since there were a ton of nearly full drinks left on tables and other locations. I so wished to fall in the love with this place, but nope. Drink responsibly and request a über ride to the next best place.

Stopped by with our family while on vacation. Amazing small batch brewery in an old warehouse. Our favorite was the compass rose, great citrus and nice hops with a balanced finish. If you are lucky you can try one of their coffee beers! Caffeine and beer. Yes please. A must stop off of the tourist trap along the river.

If you haven’t been here then you’re missing out. Granted they are only open a few hours a couple days a week but they are so worth the wait. I actually had a livingsocial coupon so I didn’t pay at the door but you get a free glass of your choice and eight beer tastings. We also took the tour. All the staff were amazing! Really knowledgeable. I can’t wait to go again to try more of their delicious beer.

Amazing! I had the chance to try their Pilsner at other restaurants around town and really enjoyed it so I was stoked to go to the brewery for a tasting. You pay $ 12 per person and get a souvenir cup and a wristband, you get 84oz pours and a 20 ish minute tour(if you want) for that price. Beautiful bar and building, very well done. You can learn about how they make the beer, canning process and meet the owner. It’s a cool experience and the cups are worth the $ 12 even if you didn’t get beer. I had 7 beers and they were all great! One is made with local savannah honey so that is cool. Give this place a try!

We are craft beer fans and try and always go local when visiting a new town. We timed our visit well — the place was just opening up. We bought our glass and grabbed a spot at the bar. Several hours later our wristbands were full and we had successfully tried a four ounce pour of each of their beers! My faves were the compass rose IPA and the Biere de Garde. They have a great space and we hope that Georgia laws change soon so they can serve/sell their beer!

So disappointing. We purposely made the time and drove over to visit this brewery because of the West Point alumni founders. Unfortunately it was closed! There are hours posted on the door displaying the limited availability times to tour or taste. I wish Service Brewing Co. would post their hours more prominently on Unilocal and their website. We planned to purchase t-shirts and more but of course could not.

Excellent beer. Excellent space. Excellent Service. This place is awesome! I’ve been on quite a few brewery tours, and this one definitely impressed me! This space is huge & perfect for expansion! They had 7 beers on tap at the time of our tour, all of which were great! We bought our tickets on Livingsocial– 2 glasses and 8 samples each for $ 12. Definitely looking forward to coming back again!

Very cool space and really nice people. The tour was great. I’ve given up beer, but their Octoberfest Marzen drew me out of retirement for a glass.

Mark my words: this is the next big thing. If you are in Savannah, take a couple hours out to drop by this brewery that is having its grand opening today. Amazing beer, fantastic brewers, wonderful cause and backstories, and beautiful venue and tasting room. I hope to see this start popping up all over GA and AL very soon before it takes over the country. Ground Pounder Compass Rose IPA Rally Point Bohemian Pilsner other seasonal beers Can’t say enough about this brewery so go check it out for yourself!
