I stumbled across this little gem while visiting Savannah. What a find! I spent over an hour & found some wonderful spices, herbs, finishing salts, and sugars. Sandy, the store owner was fabulous! She embodies exactly what every small business owner ought to aspire to– she’s warm, incredibly knowledgeable about her product and uses(& trust me I ask tough questions as I love to learn!), and she genuinely cares and invests in her customers. Their prices best whole foods & the quality is outstanding! We will definitely be back! One of Savannah’s hidden gems!

This place is lovely. We stop by every time we’re in Savannah. Great variety of offerings and extremely knowledgable staff who don’t mind spending time with you to explain pairings or cooking methods. We love it here.

Such a fun place! The guy who was helping us out was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we got to try different teas, spices, salts, and other fun, special items at the store. Our favorite was the Himalayan Salt Block, and we actually got one for our grill. it’s so cool and yummy to cook on! I loved the salt section and some of the salts smell soooo delicious. I would definitely visit again!

This is one of my favorite tea shops that I’ve been to. They have a wide selection of premium teas. They also have tea accessories. In addition to tea, they have spices, salts, and coffee brewing accessories. You have to buy most of their products in pre-packaged bags. They are reasonably priced because they are specialty teas. The salt can be scraped off to however much you want. A typical bag of tea is about $ 5. I got bacon salt for about $ 3.

Awesome store with a great selection of spices. I highly recommend the Espresso Blend for steaks. Also found some Hickory Sea Salt, which was the first time I’d ever seen that.

I can’t shop anywhere without finding a couple of kitchen/cooking stores to explore, and luckily Savannah delivered. The Spice and Tea Exchange is a store specializing in spices and teas, no surprise there. They also have a variety of different(flavored) salts and sugars which is neat. Big jars line the shelves and walls of this store. You are encouraged to pick them up and smell their products, if this didn’t come naturally already to you. A description of ingredients and its use are nearby, which always comes in handy when determining what to use them for. Inspiration doesn’t always show up, and a little bit of help never hurts. I ended up getting some fish blackening spices which I am excited to start using. From the other end of the store we purchased a blueberry black tea. If this ends up tasting only half as good as it smells, it will be killer. Coincidentally I found small pop ups of this store at Disney a couple of days after my visit to Savannah. I am not sure if it is a chain, but it has the set up to be one and it would probably do well.

The best spice shop I have been to. Great selection of blends they make in house. Also had tea to sample out and it was good. Will be back to try some more of their blends

Very cute little niche store. They have lots of spice blends and teas as well as interesting accessories for each… the swivel salt holders were really cool. Samples available. Fun store.

Definitely worth a visit. I don’t think they bring anything special to the table with their spices but we loved their selection of salts, peppers, and teas. Try the carrot cupcake tea. It really is as good as it sounds. And the habanero sugar and hickory salt were great finds.

I’m sure many of you have experienced that frustrating moment at the grocery where, after pacing for 15 minutes and reading every label, you admit to yourself that they just do not HAVE fenugreek at Piggly Wiggly. This is where The Spice Exchange comes in. The spice selection is insane & the pre-made spice blends are great for cooks or as gifts. The store itself is clean, well-designed and classy. Perhaps best of all is the staff. There are attentive, helpful, and seriously know their stuff. Even as I was checking out, the clerk was telling me more about the spices I was buying and how I could use them. These people love spices, and I freaking love them!

Definitely a cool store. They have samples of everything. The habenero sugar was a surprise for sure when I put it to my tongue. The staff is friendly and not pushy at all. Definitely a great local place to get fresh spices for that special meal you’re about ready to make.

What an amazing selection of spices and teas! I discovered this shop while browsing shops on Broughton, and since I’m a fan of loose leaf tea I just knew I had to stop in. I stocked up on 3 flavors of loose leaf tea(1 for $ 4.89 or 3 for $ 12.95), as well as 2 spice blends(one for desserts, another for Pirates). They also offer a huge variety of single spices, herbs and salts, many not easily found in your average grocery stores. The guy working in the shop was nice and helpful and even mentioned that he heard the company was opening a location near Nashville. I hope he’s not teasing, because so far their website only lists one in Gatlinburg, about 3 hours away from Nashville.

As if in competition with the nearby«The Salt Table» The Spice and Tea Exchange has lots of spices and, obviously, Tea. It made me imagine what it was like in the past with the exchange of spices being such an important part of food preparation. The staff was very friendly and was happy to answer any question we had. Certainly make this part of your stop if you are looking to add a little flavor or find a special tea.

I’d like to think of spices are adventures just waiting to happen. The Spice & Tea Exchange of Savannah provides the perfect place to start these adventures. It has a bright, spacious and welcoming store. Right when you step in you’ll find a long stretch of spices neatly lined up on the wall– some are exclusively one kind of spice, some are pre-mixed spice mixes for you to add directly to your favorite cut of meat, vegetables, soup, root vegetables for roasting. Open up the jars to smell and imagine the taste. The small packs of spice is for you to purchase– a great way for you get a little taste without a big cost commitment. You’ll also find exotic rice and teaware in the middle of the store, try the thai purple rice and Himalayan red rice they have amazing textures. The store also has an extensive variety on its salt(pink, grey, smoked, fleur de sel etc) and its peppers(sweet, smoked, and spicy). Dive in and enjoy the adventures :)
