I have a lot to say. I’ll make it as short as I can, but it is what it is. let’s start with I live behind them. I am aware of what a bar is and that music is loud. I do not care about the sound. however, they’ve been open in a residential area for far too long to not have soundproofed their cinderblock building. there have been two«fundraisers» in the past year(and some change) to relieve the problem that is constantly a discussion within the City. yet still, nothing. i have only felt the need to get irritated when the back door of the bar is left open… like really? that’s where the inconsideration for the neighborhood just begins… my garbage and recycling cans(again, I live directly behind them), the ones I pay to use, are guaranteed to be filled to the top with empty six-packs and other boxes. they’ll argue it’s the liquor store next door… the one whose clientele is prominently homeless, paying for tiny airplane bottles in change? I doubt they just bought out all the Blue Point and Left Hand. one beer at a time. with rolls of dimes. my boyfriend and I have been blocked in our driveway by the person who delivers them their beer from a random trailer just hitched to a truck. nope, you can’t just declare something a freight zone. when we honked, the owner Amy literally giggled and didn’t move. instead just proceeded to block the driveway while her infant ran around the overflowing dumpster… and the rats that run from beneath their makeshift fencing structure to hide said overflowing dumpster are bigger than my cat. anyway, I’ve been there a few times for trivia and karaōke enjoyed it. the majority of my experiences there were crap though. and I stopped going when I moved behind them, for obvious reasons. however this past Saturday there was a comedy show I’ve heard great things about and I went. the cocktail waitress was the worst, approaching my group after we go to the bar for drinks only to look at us like«oh really?» one of my friends was charged $ 90 and said that seemed steep. then right after, my boyfriend comes back and says he was charged $ 60. knowing that cannot be right at all, I approached the bartender and asked for an itemized receipt. he looked pretty dumbfounded and needed to go around to the other POS at the other side of the bar to figure it out, weird. he comes back shows me the receipt and just wow. we were charged for two vodka cocktails, a beer, and something else I can’t remember now. anyway, our actual tab should have been $ 35. that’s a pretty big difference. the charge is still pending… it’s Thursday. the bar is disgusting, the service is terrible, the owner is the worst, and I can’t wait for their doors to close.

Fair enough, my wormhole review is in need of an update. I attended a comedy show and my experience was much better. The staff had smiles, the drinks came fast, and the comedians were funny. I’d like point out that management reached out to me several times to encourage me to give them a second shot and they delivered. I certainly will be happy to go back in the future.

First visit tonight. Had an awesome time! Drinks were strong but not so strong you were soused by the third. Great crowd, awesome atmosphere. Also(and this is important, right ladies?) Bathrooms are clean! Didn’t have to wait long for drinks. And while there are a couple of odd spaces that making moving through tricky, for the most part it is spacious and well laid out.

First let me say that my poor rating is solely based on the extremely poor customer service I received. I was recently in the Savannah area on vacation. I dropped in Saturday for a comedy show. The show was great. All of the comics were funny. I love the décor and carefree attitude of the place. However, I was puzzled as to my waitress’ attitude. She was extremely unengaging. I only ordered one drink. I had already ate before arriving. My drink was $ 7.70 with tax. I tipped her $ 2.30 to make my ticket an even $ 10. I thanked her when my drink arrived. I thanked her when she brought me the ticket to close out. She never said a word. No «you’re welcome,» «thank you,» «come see us again,» nothing. And the rude cherry on top is when she looked at me as if I was some type of idiot when I asked for a customer copy of my receipt. «I already closed out the ticket,» she said. Well, open it back up. What type of business doesn’t give a customer a copy of the transaction? Anyway, not sure if I’ll ever come back. I love comedy shows, but customer service goes a long way.

Stopped in for some food and drinks while visiting Savannah last weekend. We actually were staying in Thunderbolt and were biking back from the touristy downtown area, so this place was a nice stop. It was late afternoon, so it was very low key. Bartender was friendly, drinks were good, and the menu was a bit like a healthier take on typical bar food. We really enjoyed ourselves and would total stop in again if we find ourselves in Savannah again.

Neat little eclectic bar, in a seedy area but the bar tenders are great and the atmosphere is low key. Comedy night is so-so, they boast ‘HBO and Comedy Central’ comics, saw about 8 comics, three actually made me laugh. No HBO in sight. Probably not worth the $ 15 cover and $ 5 for a table, but the crowd is great and laugh even when the comic is bad. Some of the MC’s are hilarious! I don’t know why they don’t do a set! Wouldn’t buy the VIP table + bottle of wine, the wine is $ 10 Clos de Bouis from the grocery store.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. the music is mixed — sometimes metal, sometimes techno, sometimes folk, lots of comedy nights. I’ve seen things as diverse as Helmet to Johnathon Richman to a DJ from Berlin. it would be great if you could smoke inside. the barstaff is great, the location is perfect, ample parking, clean soundsystem, and a really mixed crowd. it’s like a dive bar one night and a classy venue the next. great spot if you’re not up for the hassle and headache of congress street.

Eclectic does not begin to describe this place. There’s not a hint of pretention in the service or décor. The Wormhole seems like a come-as-you-are type of place. Yes, they have the ubiquitous PBR and you may even spy a skinny jean or two, but don’t let that get in the way of a good time. Video games, pool, even a little mini-bookstore in the back. Pluses — Affordable drinks, friendly owner/staff, regular free shows, solid open mic night Minuses — Not many. Wish they were open on Sundays, so I could watch some football or something there. Maybe next year.

It’s a dive but they had James McMurtry, so I can’t complain. There’s a nice area outside where you can smoke and the patrons are very friendly people.

I really wanted to like this place. Reasonably priced drinks and walking distance from the house, it seemed like it would be our neighborhood hangout. Unfortunately it’s also yet another thing the hipsters have ruined. The atmosphere is less-than friendly and you can’t even hold a conversation on account of how loud the crappy jam bands are playing in the backround. Being smugly lectured by the cynical PBR-swilling douche about why everything I like sucks does not go over well when I’m trying to enjoy a few drinks, and if I see one more deck shoes/skinny jeans/wool hat/Arafat scarf combination I’m seriously going to start cutting people.(YOULOOKLIKEJACKASSES) I’ll go elsewhere whenever possible.. .
