This place was perfect for what I was looking for, a place to stay overnight while I traveled down to Florida. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable, and everything worked in the bathroom. Good AC. No bed bugs or roaches you hear about in cheaper priced hotels. Slightly older hotel with slightly stained carpet and older fixtures/outlets but for $ 50 you can’t beat it. Nice complimentary breakfast of cereal, fruit, bagels/bread, make your own waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy, coffee/tea, juices. I guess only complaint is juices weren’t in ice to make them cold. Also free WiFi was a little spotty, kept disconnecting and reconnecting but worked. But the real star was Nancy who was working the front desk. She was very nice and polite. When I went back out to get my bags she held the door open for me coming back in. She was the ideal model for customer service.

We booked 2 rooms. One smells like living in the toilet. Another one is for disabled people, it’s sweet for them, but we have to bend our knees so we can wash our hair. The water wet all the bathroom floor.

Inexpensive, spacious rooms clean and quite comfortable. Simple but plentiful breakfast. A good place to stay without having to buy the hotel.

I’ve never stayed at a Travelodge before. It’s a nice, clean hotel for $ 60 a night. The room is clean and simply decorated. Have yet to try their breakfast. The receptionist smiles and greets you each time you walk in. The pool looks nice and clean. Will definitely stay again if we come back.

Based on Stephanie’s review, I am glad we came here afterwards. This place must have either fired the staff they had previously, or maybe they just quit. Checking here during our stay was easy, the lady behind the counter was friendly and we had no issues. The inside décor in the main lobby is very welcoming and looks well maintained. Next to the front desk they maintain a beverage station that offers a blend of peach lemonade inside a chilled glass dispenser. They also have two coffee insulated containers one with regular and decaffeinated coffee. We stayed on one of the top floors. The rooms here use the standard keycard. As we walked into our room, I was surprised how clean the hotel room was, compared to what the other reviewer stated. The sheets were clean, the bathroom as well. The rooms come with a mini refrigerator and a microwave. One night when I came back from Tybee Island around 1AM with one of my sons on each shoulder the lady at the front desk opened the front door for me. However, the next morning a different lady was sitting outside on the bench taking a break, while I saw a guest waiting at the front counter. That was not very professional, as someone should always be at the front desk. I did not use their pool here. They do have an indoor pool that is heated and when we tried to use the pool it was full of people, so it does get used here. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Ok. Positives first. This hotel was very cheap. I paid $ 50/night on the weekend of the Rock and Roll Marathon when the downtown hotels were $ 350+. The beds were comfortable. While it was 20 mins into downtown, it was a fairly simple drive to make. Now onto the cons! Our rooms smelled very funny — a very strong musty smell, like there was standing water? We got some air freshener from the front desk to try and cover it up but it didn’t really work. The big one — I have never been treated so poorly by hotel staff. While the front desk staff was very friendly, the lady that set up the breakfast on Saturday was incredibly rude. I’ve been to many race weekends and we generally are gone before breakfast is set out, but most hotels are very accommodating about allowing racers to use the breakfast area for the appliances and some are even willing to set out basics like bread, bagels and cereal for us. Not this one! We went down to use the microwave and toaster to make our breakfasts(that we brought with us) and the worker threw us out. She was extremely rude about it — saying that we couldn’t be there while she was setting up, though we were not in her way at all. I don’t understand what that nonsense was all about but I definitely didn’t appreciate the attitude at 4:30 am. I would hope that not all Travelodge staff treats people this way because it would be unlikely for me to use one again if that were the case!
