Really good food and service! Waitresses were lively and fun. Had the best waffle. Hash browns were tasty. There are Waffle House’s everywhere here in Savannah. Seems like you can’t visit here without at least one meal at a Waffle House.

Great breakfast and coffee. Also open 24 hours for those late night trips.

I’ll take my hash browns scattered and smothered. Sometimes I like ‘em covered too, and if I’m feeling really decadent, I’ll go with scattered, smothered, covered and chunked. Not that I can get them that way now that my years of living in the south are over. That kind of order would get a glazed look here in Seattle and a «come again?» Scattered = duh, scattered on the grill. Smothered = onions. Covered = melted cheese. Chunked = diced ham. These are my favorite greasy hash browns in the whole wide world of hash browns. I do not want light, non-greasy, epicurean hash browns. I want Waffle House. Funnily enough, I never ate a single waffle at the Waffle House in eight years. Despite the fact the roadside diner is open 24 hours and I had over 70,000+ hours worth of chances to peruse the laminated placemat menu and choose waffles instead of scattered, smothered, covered hash browns, eggs over easy, and bacon, I never did. Thank God. I really miss those hash browns.
