I Used to live in South Waverly. My friend and I would get together on the weekends and either foot alligers or get takeout from them. I have never had a bad bite from Alligers! Wings are great and one time I had some French fries with the best honey mustard I’ve ever had! They have to make it in house ! It’s not the prettiest place. But worth chomping on something from here!

If you love wings, this is the place to go. They serve up the best wings topped with their own famous sauces.

The quintessential dive bar, one that could easily win awards. As a dive aficionado, this is the benchmark by which all others should be judged. The unassuming building hides the delight that’s inside. The clientele spans the full spectrum– railroad laborer to doctors and lawyers. The staff is friendly, accommodating and professional. Wings are their specialty and they are world class. Anchor Bar and Duffs in Buffalo may have more notoriety but Alligers in Sayre has no equal and has won awards at the Buffalo Wing Fest beating out those solid competitors. 28 varieties of wings spanning from mild to tasty to outrageous. Some have criticized the boneless wings but seriously? Who eats boneless wings? Might as well order your beer in a bottle with a nipple on it. Beside wings there is your regular bar fare which is consistently excellent. A great variety of beer on tap and always at least one trendy IPA to satisfy the beer snob in your group. Prices are way too low. This place would be a bargain at twice the price. Great atmosphere and a good vibe in the bar area with a side dining room if you need a little more laid back family setting. In short, the best wings ever and a must stop for anyone that appreciates the local corner establishment genre.

Food: Boneless wings were fried so much that the sauce did not mesh with the breading and it tasted like barbecue sauce outside of a hard thick breading. Bathroom: The bathroom was dirty and the light did not work. Ambiance: Not clean, not fancy nor family friendly. Just a subpar local restaurant. The regular wings bone-in might taste better. This is based on my one time experience.

They never fail. I’ve only gone during the day so it seems like any other dive bar but the wings are far better than the average bar. Soon I will take a shot at going on a Thursday night(wing night).

The food is much better than the outside view. It’s basically a bar that has a few tables. However, the wings are surprisingly good. Try the garlic parm wings.

Awesome wings(Hot & Spicy Garlic) yummy! Great beer prices. I would have given them 5 stars, but the bartender’s service was not great and she was not very friendly :(

Crusty, divey… and wonderful. Alligers fries up some mighty fine wings with a huge variety of sauces(medium Buffalo and teriyaki are the best in my opinion).plus a killer hot dog with meat sauce. Great place to hang on a cold, cloudy day with the locals. Only drawback… takes a long long time to get your order for some reason… but whatever… time for an extra Genny Cream Ale!

Cold beer and awesome wing sauces, what else were you looking for here? Definitely the place to go for wings here. Crispy and flavorful with a good sized sauce selection. If you want to eat some hot wings that are actually hot, this is the place to go. Friendly atmosphere of a small town bar/restaurant that you would expect.

Place is sketchy looking from the outside but your average small town bar once you walk in. I grabbed a seat at the bar the nice bartender came and got my drink and food order. I ordered 12 boneless wings mild and medium depending on what came out best. After 35 minutes they brought out my wings and they were bone in I stated that I ordered boneless and the bartender said no you didn’t. After I assured her I did she just walked off with them. I waited only 5 minutes for the boneless wings which poses the question why did it take so long the first time around. The wings are what saves this place. They were delicious and very large. I could only eat about 5 before becoming full. On a side note I am open to almost all kinds of music but after working all day the last thing I want to eat to is heavy metal blaring over the bar speakers.

Though it appears to be a rusty place on the first look from outside, the food is incredibly delicious with good price. I wouldn’t deserve any compliments to their wings and mushroom;)

I’ve been here a few times and while I can’t say their wings are the best that I’ve ever had. But they are considerably better than most. The sauces are what makes their wings stand out from the rest. The sauces are flavorful and their hot and suicide sauces are actually hot. The wings themselves are nothing out of the ordinary, but again, the sauces set the wings apart from other wing places in the area. If you are in the area, def stop by and check it out. If you are passing through, and feel like some wings, this is probably your best bet within 100 miles.

If you’re looking for an easy going bar with good food, this is the go-to place in the Valley. Best wings in the region, friendly service, good drinks, and good crowd. It can get busy on thursday nights(wing night) but the turnover is quick so you’ll get a seat in pretty short order. But please, for the love of all that is holy, would someone tell the Spandex/tiger-print bartender to wear something different. Aside from being ill-fitting, it concerns me that someone handling my food is wearing the same clothes every day.

Randomly stopped in on a drive from jamestown back to NYC. All three ordered wing combos and we’re very happy(26 flavors– which is more than enough). Wings were cooked perfectly! It’s a small town dive bar/restaurant and it looks like it(little outdated but that’s what you expect and want)…bartender was nice, place was clean, food/music were good. we enjoyed it and will stop again. — it’s a good find!

The ordering process here is a little odd during the week. You have order at the bar, even though there is a dining room with regular tables, there isn’t a waitress that serves those tables except on the weekend. The lady behind the bar was busy, but very friendly and was working very hard to make sure everyone had what they needed. My mistake was ordering boneless wings, not sure why I did, but don’t! Who goes to a wing place and orders boneless, evidently I do, my mistake. They were heavily breaded, obviously frozen, and were small chunks with very little meat. Once covered in the wing sauce, they were just nasty. A friend went and got regular wings w honey bbq sauce, he said they were very tasty. This is an attempt at a small town sports bar, but with only one working tv. The food is decent, so I’ve been told, and the beer selection is adequate, but keep your expectations very low.

Alligers aka«House of Wings» is a great spot for some amazing wings, friendly service(has been family owned for 50 years) and stiff drinks! They have 25 different flavors of wings ranked from mild to extremely spicy(only 7 people have successfully completed a basket of their nuclear wings). They’re all made with«Super Cayenne Pepper»(registers at 120,000 on the official chili pepper hotness scale). Not a wing fan? Try one of their philly cheese steaks, sweet potato fries and sandwhiches. Make sure to order a tall frosty Yeunglang to wash down the spicy wing sauce!
