This place has been hit or miss for me. I usually take my 10 yr old son here but the last few times I have not liked the cut. We are usually a walk in and we take whoever is available but I assume they all know how to cut hair. After the third bad cut we stopped going. I do not like to see straight scissor marks on the front of his head, it looks weird. My son also complained about going every time he needed a haircut.

Great local barber in a good location for Main Street in sayville. Robert is my go to barber when I’m in Sayville and he takes his time to get it right. Also good with kids he keeps my son entertained and looking sharp! The place could use a remake inside and believe me I’m sure hey are planning it already.

Never had a bad haircut here! I always try to go to Jacob, but there have been a few times that he wasn’t in, and I always leave a happy customer!

If any of you knew me personally, you would know that I’m not the type of person to complain or make a big deal out of anything. I am also the type of person not to write reviews, because I tend to believe that everyone has their own opinions. With that said… I just got my hair cut from this place not even 30 mins ago and I will tell you, that it was the worse haircut I’ve ever received. I was in the 4th chair getting my hair cut by some woman that at first seemed friendly enough and experienced enough. I guess this is the point that I should say that this is not my normal barbershop, but I was on my lunch break and needed to get my hair cleaned up a bit. I asked this woman for«a 2 on the sides, faded up, trim on the top, flip in the front and clean all around». She buzzed my sides down, so far so good. She starts fading it a bit, still good. At this point, she pulls out another buzzer and starts to buzz the back top of my head. I said something, but at this point it was too late. She buzzed the majority of the rest of the top of my hair, leaving a patch in front in which she could flip up. I’m trying to tell her that she made a mistake and she insisted on that it’s exactly what I asked for. I’m curious to see the moron that signed off on this person being licensed to cut hair or the idiot that hired her. I’m a firm believer that businesses are only as good as their weakest link, and that is why I am rating this 1 star. I strongly advise everyone who is reading this, not to get your hair cut here, you will regret it. HEEDMYWARNING!

Boris is the man! Always came here when I lived in the area and they are all really good. Not only is he a great barber but Boris and his brother(the 2nd barber) are the nicest people you’ll ever meet. The 3rd barber is more of a heavy set man and he is also very good.

Boris is one of three barber shops on the main street. I’ve only been to Boris’s shop. I’m not really sure if there is an actual Boris or not. I do have confidence in all the Barbers there so there’s no one person I go to. It’s a 5 chair shop most of the time there’s three barbers. The shop has an identity as if they aspired to be more of a salon but changed their mind along the way. The florescent lighting, a couple of products for sale and overall brightness leaves me with this impression. They got the lather machine and clean up the back of your head with Straight Edge razor(Some barbers, this is done on request.) Boris does the Hot Towel Shave. I got a shave from there on my wedding day. It was incredible an incredible experience. Barbering itself is a craft alone; the way dude handled the straight edge razor and applied ointments and shaving creams on my mug was an art form. Hot Towel Shave 10 or 12 $ Haircut 12 $ There’s a frequent flyer card 5th ones ½ price!
