Sayville LIRR

Recently was at this train station to take the ferry to Fire Island. It’s very clean and organized, but there was no one around to ask questions or help you with where to go. All the tickets had to be bought on the machines, and the waiting room was empty. I went in to use the bathroom, and this loud alarm went off out of nowhere, as if they didn’t want you coming in there. At night, some of the lights are not working and it’s dimly lit, which can be creepy especially if you’ve just gotten off the last ferry and taking a late train back to NYC. Wi-​fi at this station would be great.

I use the Sayville LIRR station whenever I need to do the train thing as far as train stations go, it is fine enough.
The platforms are usually clean, the PA system and ticket machines are always working and there always seems to be available parking.
Probably one of the better train stations out there.

It’s a station on the LIRR. It’s just a simple two track but it seems pretty clean and quiet. There doesn’t seem to be anyone around to ask questions and the tickets are dispensed by machines located near the entrance.
