I have had to have all my fillings from Dr. Taylor replaced. I had one fall out in the middle of the night, and the rest were so poorly done that other dentists have had to fix them. It’s a waste of time and money to visit this dentist. I’ve been to several other dentists, who were all so much nicer, more helpful, and who do better work. Save your teeth and go somewhere else.

I grew up going to this dentist, he was the only one our family went to. I disliked him as a child, but that was chalked up to just not liking the dentist, not because of him or the way the business was ran. As I got older(17 – 20) I continued to be unsatisfied with my services there. You always waited a long time & barely saw the dentist at all. When I was younger one time I was eating a caramel apple sucker, I bit down on the sucker & when it came out of my mouth, there was a filling stuck to it. As a child I didn’t realize that that wasn’t normal, but as an adult now, it makes perfect sense as a sign of his shoddy work. Another incident I had was with a hygienist who repeatedly jabbed my cheek; so much so that later I had cuts on the inside of my cheek. I told the receptionist, Sherry, that I would like to never have that same hygienist again, to note it on my account & why I didn’t want her. A few months later I went back, having made my appointment on the phone with Sherry & reminding her that I didn’t want the same hygienist as last time. But sure enough, when I went in the back, my hygenist was the same incompetent one as before & the same thing happened again. When I left I told Sherry what had happened, which she blamed on a scheduling error(she does the scheduling), and apologized. I told her that I didn’t really care about her apology & that I would NOT be returning again. It wasn’t until now, years later, when I’ve gone to other dentists that I realize how terrible of a dentist Dr. Steve F. Taylor really is/was. Since leaving his practice I have had to have ALL of my previous fillings redone. Not due to more cavities, but because they were not put in properly… Not to mention my brother & sister have had to do the same. I have also learned that other dentists don’t constantly harp on you about your teeth maintenance & basically make you feel like you have the shittiest teeth they’ve ever seen… even if you do floss & brush twice a day it’s always your shoddy maintenance that’s the problem, not genetics or a predisposition. I’ve had other dentists talk positively about my teeth & my dental hygiene, something that you never heard at Dr. Taylor’s office. All around, I would never go back to Dr. Taylor & I would NEVER recommend anyone else to go there either… PLUS, the guy is 62 years old… Isn’t it time for him to retire?!
