A Handful Salon

I went here for a chocolate pedicure and an infrared detox massage groupon that I had bought from groupon. If I was going to just give the rating on the massage I’d be giving it a «ONE STAR». So luckily for this place they are getting it mainly on the pedicure.
The place is in a really weird location. off the beaten path, behind Wal-​mart and Lowes set in the back. I walked and it did not feel like a salon at all. the pedicure «room» did not feel like a pedicure room at all. It was actually kind of weird. They are not pedicure chairs at all! They are like wooden booths with pillows. No relaxing massages like other places! That’s my favorite part!
I will say she took her time with my pedicure and it came out very nice and my feet felt wonderful and looked fantastic. They were very nice at this place.
But, the place was completely empty the entire two hours I was there.
Now for this Infra red detox massage. don’t waste your time… it’s painful, it sucks, it’s hot and sweaty, it’s yucky and I hated the entire thing!!! What a waste of money that thing is. It came as a duo groupon and I’d never ever do that again… YIKES!

I decided to surprise a relative with a spa manicure and pedicure to this salon. This isn’t our regular nail salon we go to but they had a chocolate detox spa mani/​pedi that I thought we might enjoy. They had issues with scheduling and they were supposed to get back to me at certain times but they did not. I had to keep calling them about the scheduling and see if they fixed the issue. They were nice but you could definitely feel the tension in there. No one were really helping with each other and they were trying hard to be polite to each other even though one girl wasn’t answering the other girl’s questions. The manicures unfortunately were very sloppy. They were running out of supplies for the manicure! They didn’t have enough of anything which makes me wonder if the business is failing. I have been to many nail salons and have never seen any salon that runs out of supplies like this one. My nails looked embarrassing. Had smudges all over and you could see that the top coat didn’t cover my nails very well. There are many spots on my nails that aren’t shiny. I liked how the spa pedicure was set up but they didn’t pay much attention to our nails — shaping them and clipping them. Although our toenails looks much better than our manicure. Also, $ 40 for a mani/​pedi for a child? That is way too much for a small child! I won’t be bringing my kid in either based on the experience and the cost. My regular nail salon offers half of that price for a mani/​pedi.
