I can’t say enough kind words about Jason and the people at Ahlgrims. Loosing my grandfather was extremely hard on my family… We weren’t prepared and dealing with loss, on top of planing funeral accommodations is absolutely daunting… Jason walked my grandmother through everything. We are beyond grateful for the compassion and support he offered even after the services… My grandfather would have been so impressed to see his going away party… The prayer cards were beautiful and sayings/​poems heart wrenching… The constant thread of pictures kept the mood light as we reminisced on so many amazing memories… And to top it off the hearse was a «caddy» (Cadillac) … Grandpa truly went out in style! 4 wks later. Death struck again and Jason (and company) helped us coordinate yet another beautiful celebration of life. We are truly indebted to Ahlgrims and the compassion and fortitude they provided us during this hard time.

I cannot thank Kathy Ahlgrim and the rest of the staff for their care and help in planning my mother’s funeral. Kathy went out of her way to be helpful and accommodating to any requests that we might have. I felt that someone was really thinking of my family and our needs during a very difficult time. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of their services. They provide outstanding services as you honor your loved one.

Jim Ahlgrim is a very compassionate person and a very kind funeral director. When my husband passed away at a very young age and a long struggle battling cancer, Mr. Ahlgrim was most kind and generous. We had spent down completely continuing the commercial insurance and the many thousands for my husbands palliative care and his final three weeks in hospice home care. There was nothing left and although we had prearranged and prepaid direct cremation with another service provider earlier, and made arrangements with the catholic cemetery for burial of his remains we were left without funds, resources, and without a burial vault or burial urn to actually bury him! The Ahlgrim Family generously assisted our broken family with acquiring same at a minimal small token cost, so my husband could have a proper Christian burial. For this I shall remain forever grateful. When I went to acquire I was greeted and comforted as though I had purchased services from them for the Taj Mahal of funerals! These folks from the bottom up and the top down were absolutely the most compassionate professional and kind I have seen and in our earlier days my husband and I had our misfortune to acquire services as the payors for sadly many full service arrangements for family members and too many friends. The facility is not Unilocal mapping correctly it is in Schaumburg not as mapped in Arlington heights/​rolling meadows. It is clean, generously parking lot supplied and traffic managed in and out during service and visiting times very well. The facility is fully staffed, neat, quiet, and tastefully decorated. The entirety is very clean. The staff and family are professional, compassionate, kind, and have found their professional vocation. I recommend their consideration for your needs present or future, and suggest you stop by before you have a need, to see what I mean.

This is a very simple funeral home, everyone was very nice and accommodating. They provided fresh hot coffee, but no water which was strange. Everything was very clean. They however did a terrible job on my uncle, he looked nothing like himself!
