Here’s an update. I had the car listed on Craigslist and had scammers and car flippers pretending they were interested in my car (the scammers wanted me to buy some ‘report’ from
and the flippers wanted the car for cheap). Fortunately, Tom, my representative from CarLogik warned me about these tricks.
There was one guy who did want to test drive the car and he was coming from downtown. I really didn’t want him coming to my house, especially in the evening, so I met him in Elk Grove at a restaurant parking lot on that rainy night. Tom, my CarLogik rep, met me at the parking lot also so he could help with the test drive! He drove with the guy so I didn’t have to. It was so nice to have an experienced car seller like Tom, help me. Because it’s not like I sell my car all the time. After the night of the test drive, while the guy was still thinking about buying it, I had another person come and test drive it. Tom gave me advice on the process I should take with my title if she wanted to buy. He also gave me a Bill of Sale for me and the buyer to complete. Knowing the car had a 3 month /​90 day warranty (purchased with the help of CarLogik) and that the car was ‘CarLogik certified”, I was able to sell the car that night to a great family. They handed me a certified check and I had all the paperwork I needed to legally complete the sale. It took so much of the stress out of selling my car to work with CarLogik, and I got thousands more for my car than CarMax or dealers were willing to offer!
