I was so excited to see an Egg Harbor open up in Schaumburg instead of driving all the way to Elmhurst! Great service and great food and the service was excellent. Can be quite a wait during the breakfast/lunch rush!

Great place great service! Hazelnut coffee is the best from here! The omelets are huge enough for two people.

The food was really good, especially the Butcher’s Omelet and the pancakes. Hazelnut coffee is really good as well. That said, portions are a tad small and the parking lot is cramped.

3.5 stars — would come back in hopes of giving a 4. Pretty good, not amazing. I like Wildberry more. When I saw Egg Harbor pop up, my first thought was, «Uh-oh.» I’ve heard great things about EHC over the years, yet I never made it to one. Fast-forward to an ultra busy day at Wildberry(wait was bordering on two hours) and we were hungry — too hungry to wait. We walked right back out and drove down to EHC and were seated within 25 minutes. The packed lobby led us to believe it would be much longer, but they move people FAST. Prices are on par with Wildberry, although Wildberry has a more creative menu(crepes, etc.). Egg Harbor does have more expensive coffee, and that put me off from ordering one. We had: 1) Dynamite Veggie Egg White Omelet 2) Garden Delight Omelette 3) Winter in Italy French Toast The omelets were good, and the Winter in Italy NAILED it. Really, really good. Interesting ingredients and flavours. I could never eat a whole plate of it, but I couldn’t resist slicing a piece from my friend’s plate, haha. Yum. Pro Tip: Free coffee by the coffee bar.

First time here and will definitely return. Expect a brief wait during heavy traffic times(Sunday brunch), but once seated you will definitely have a meal and service worth the minimal wait. Our waitress, Mayra, was extremely attentive, from order taking to drink refills to bringing the check, but never making us feel rushed. In between, the rest of the staff was just as amenable and courteous. For the business of the restaurant, the food was delivered insanely fast to the table, and was fresh and delicious. If you can’t decide between between sweet and savory, you can even get a substitute of blueberry pancakes with your breakfast skillet for a mere $ 1 more!(and when they say«small pancakes», they really mean normal size, not silver dollar!) Soda and coffee both come with free refills, including a carafe of each on the table. Further more, they’ll even bring you to-go cups for both at the end of your meal!

My first time here(visiting from California), and I have to say, this is a great place for breakfast! The strawberry-orange juice was amazing! The portions– they’re huge! Not sure if this is a Chicago-only joint, but it’s definitely a must!

A great place to get a fast breakfast. They have a lot of options, and their specials are pretty good. While I would have had to wait 45+ minutes at Wildberry down the street, I was seated in 10 minutes at Egg Harbor and they were really fast.

Restaurant review What an amazing new brunch restaurant. I really want to go to wild berry but my sister-in-law insisted that we try this new breakfast restaurant. We were lucky because he went on December 28 which was their 30th anniversary. They had a variety of special deals that were was only one for one day. Intelligentsia coffee was only $.60 it came in a nice thermos kept it hot throughout the meal. In addition I was able to get two different entrées. One was the Shauna sun-up which was yogurt with granola and strawberries and bananas. This was likely the best yogurt parfait I ever had. I didn’t get a chance to try the homemade banana bread which is included with this entrée. I also tried the meggsican frittata. This included eggs chorizo onions and melted cheese which was topped with sour cream and tomatoes. Although I didn’t really care from a flour tortilla the rest of it was quite delicious. For the price of 4.95 that day it was quite a deal. The normal price is a low bit more than that for each of those. The server was quite friendly and she came in to check to make sure that our meal was okay. I’ll be the definately come back for breakfast some other time. Pros: Friendly service, inexpensive brunch, well lit restaurant Cons: Very small parking lot and slightly long wait times Hidden deals: I will need to mark their anniversary date on my calendar as the prices were ridiculously cheap

Very impressed! Was looking for a new place to try and decided to come here instead of wild berry/walkers(my normal goto for heady breakfast) Im very pick when it comes to good breakfast, I won’t go back to a place if something is sub par. I’ll def be coming back here! I ordered the traditional combo, and upgraded to the candied bacon(super worth it), eggs were cooked perfectly(over easy) I would give the pancakes a 7⁄10 which is a lot from me, I’m a pancake snob and most places have bland pancakes or don’t satisfy me fully, these got close haha These weere a lot less bland than morst other places but if they played with the recipe a little they could probably have something legendary. That is literally the only thing I have to say about this place that isn’t exceptional! If you’re looking for something good hit up egg harbor

Egg Harbor Café is a Denny’s that isn’t trying to kill you; in fact, they’re pretty nice! We chose to dine for brunch during the week. The restaurant wasn’t full, but it wasn’t crowded either. Our family had plenty of privacy to chat amongst ourselves. Not too hungry, I chose ‘Cassie’s Crêpes’ for my meal. These were wonderful. Normally, you could expect a crêpe to be either sweet or savory, yet these were right in the middle and quite delicious. Try them, if that’s what you’re in to. The décor, as you might have predicted, was largely egg-themed, right down to the placemats. Never one to shy away from a challenge, I picked up the tiny jar of crayons and entered myself into the Egg Harbor Café’s Egg Drawing Contest! Please see my entry in the photo gallery.

Fantastic breakfasts and huge portions. Overall good value for money with most breakfast options around $ 10. I now understand why this place is always busy. I will be back here often. Try the orange and strawberry juice, it’s delicious!

This past Sunday we enjoyed an awesome breakfast at the new Egg Harbor in Schaumburg. We arrived and as expectetd it was packed. I went in to check the wait for four and they said no more than 15 to 20 mins. Not bad for 10am on Sunday however I couldnt believe we would be sat in under 30 mins. We waited outside bc it was sunny out and they have these great heated lamps to stand near when cold — perfect thoughtful touch! We were called for our table only 13mins later! Whaaaat? How? Well we sat and we immediately greeted and asked for a drink order. They have water available before you sit and everyone is extremely friendly. We spoke with three waitresses ensuring our visit was going well… but we only had one server. Amazing! They genuinely cared and it was so nice to see teamwork like this. We ordered and our food tool maybe 10 mins tops and it was served to order(bc we are annoying and went back and forth on what we wanted) My kids were so excited about the menu they couldn’t maket up their mind! Adorable. One ordered Green Eggs and Ham bc she couldn’t believe that was a realy thing! ;-) lol and the other ordered the rainbow pancakes — which even I thought was delish. Never ran out of napkins drinks or anything. They were very prompt and efficient. I didn’t feel rushed as all. They all just worked great together to turn their tables. Can’t wait to return! Oh and even your register staff was top notch! Thank you!

Service is good, prices are affordable and food is tasty. They did mess up our skillet order however, but were able to quickly fix us another one with the correct request. Coffee was mediocre though. Had the autumn in Italy French toast which was delicious. Definitely not as good as wildberry — which has so many more delicious options and better coffee options.

I love the fact that this place is brand new and super clean. Staff is on top of everything. They greet you at the door and are very nice. Food is delicious and priced well. I’ve been here several times and have never had a problem with any of the menu items or the service. Any skillet you try will please you. Plentiful and tastes great.

I’ve loved Egg Harbor Café since I started working in palatine more than 12 years ago. Used to go to the one in Arlington Heights for lunch all the time. Fast-forward to 2015, and looky-loo, I now have one in my hood! Came here on a Sunday morning around 10am with a party of 6 and the place was packed. Parking was a bit difficult, but hey, sometimes that’s the price you pay. Note: similar to Wildberry, no reservations permitted. Now on to the grub… I ordered the traditional breakfast of eggs, chicken sausage, cheese grits, and an english muffin. Pretty tasty, even though the cheese grits were not actually cheesy. I grew up on(and still make) cheese grits that were actually yellow from the cheddar cheese… these were creamy white with flecks of yellow. But that’s just a personal preference, they were still good. The chicken sausage was just as I remembered, delicious. Coffee and strawberry orange juice were both awesome and our waitress, while busy, was very nice and accommodating of our quasi-large party. Super happy it’s now in my area and I’ll def be back with my friends again.

This place opened a few weeks ago and I have been here 4 times. So far all experiences have been great! Service and food are both amazing! I often go to Wildberry and Richard Walkers. This is on par to those. I’m sure I’ll be going here often and recommend you give it a try!

First time here .im always up fir breakfast and im glad i found another great breakfast place in Schaumburg IL. The food was great. The service was absolutely fantastic. The hosts were all so friendly. Probably the friendliest compared to other famous breakfast places in Schaumburg and I loved that. The girls at the counter made sure everything was alright. Only thing different I found from other similar places was that they offer English muffin with everything instead of the usual pancakes. This is no big deal as I requested pancakes instead and they had no problem. Got the pancakes to go but syrup was missing. …but hey everyone can make a small mistake like that… not a big deal.

Being a newly transformed nutritarian who cheats with eggs and dairy frequently, this place has some great options for vegetarians! The veggie delight skillet is great. Assorted with sweet potatoes, zucchini, avocado, black beans and red pepper, topped with mozzarella cheese and eggs cooked to your preference. I requested spinach and mushrooms in addition to include daily nutritarian dietary requirements! It was delicious! You’re given a wheat English muffin and homemade berry purée. The purée is not overly sweet but just right! Maybe it could do with even less sugar, but it’s fine now too. The only thing I would change if I were to come and order this again(which is likely), I would request a lesser amount of sweet potatoes and an increase of the green stuff! I realize this is the base, but they are overly filling and I could not finish them! Not to mention, although better than white potatoes, they are still a starch! Regardless, this is a personal preference and does NOT take away from the quality or deliciousness of the dish! Some people, my husband included, would love this! They have great coffee options with baristas preparing quality beverages too!

We are super fans of Egg Harbor! So happy they brought a location to Schaumburg! They offer the basics for breakfast but also unique options which keeps us coming week after week! Love the loose leaf teas, coffee is amazing, everything we have ever gotten has been great! This is where we bring friends and out of town guests. Kid friendly, great service. Our favorite breakfast place!
