Hancock Fabrics

I love it here! They have all the different seasons of fabric. I went here yesterday to buy some christmas fabric and they have alot of cute stuff! I bought couple of them and love it =D also staff’s are so helpful and nice. I will definitely continue to come here!

I won’t ever shop here again. The sales people (especially one older woman in particular – but there are a couple) are awful. Rude, mean, condescending. I thought maybe a couple of them were just having a bad day so I continued to go back, but it’s a very routine thing for them to yell loudly across the store & to belittle customers. A lot of eye rolling & very rude remarks.
I’m not easily insulted, but was actually legitimately offended by the way a couple of the sales people treated me & a couple of the other customers. On my final visit I put my items down & left the store immediately after yet another rude comment. I won’t go back. It’s unpleasant to be treated so poorly & there are many other places to go to to find the same selection of fabrics at the same prices.

Peg was as mean as a snake possibly in a joking manner, but I really dont think so Maybe because I was a man, maybe because she was old and angry. I can say that the place had a ton of different fabrics and choices at reasonable prices. If your a guy send your lady in or beware of the dragon lady peg. Ask for Susan she was an absolute delight.

Yeah… still love this place. I had a coupon that I forgot to use on several cuts of fabric, would have made it a lot cheaper, and they not only allowed me to return and re-​buy the fabric (I hadn’t used it for anything yet, which is their only stipulation) but they were very patient as they did so. They really didn’t have to be so nice. And all the people who cut the fabric sew so they are chock full of ideas. They can tell you about patterns they’ve used that worked really well and fabrics they find wash well or are best for various types of projects. I’ve gotten some great ideas from them. They’re really interested in their customers’ wacky fabric hijinks. They also are pretty good about knowing when upcoming sales are, too.

Hancock has a great selection of fabrics and plenty of other items for the more crafty folk. Its a ‘must go’ for me when I needed to get some last minute fabrics at great prices for my projects at Harper.
You really can’t beat price, service and location.

I’ve actually always had pretty good luck at this store. When I was decorating my condo, I bought several types of fabric here to make pillows. Recently, I needed some satin cords to make «necklaces» for some charms I was going to give away as prizes at an upcoming jewelry party (as part of my Lia Sophia jewelry business.) Whatever I need –I have pretty good luck finding it here! It is a little on the slow side –it’s a popular place and they never have more than 2 – 3 sales people, but they are very nice so I don’t hold it against them. I recommend going first thing in the morning and it should be a breeze!
