I’ve recently become a fan of Loft — their quality, sales, and selection appeal to the casual, business, chic style that is effortless and timeless. Being petite, I was disappointed in the small corner dedicated to the limited selection. However, I’ve been assisted several times with placing orders online via their store iPad for items they didn’t have in stock — THIS, I appreciated. I can’t recall a time when I’ve encountered poor customer service, but I have walked in a few times without being acknowledged. There’s room for subtle improvement, but overall, I’m satisfied with the service and patience of the staff.

Let me begin by saying this is a only review of the customer service at this Loft location. I am a big fan of Loft in general and do most of my purchasing online for the deals, etc. That being said, I returned quite a few items that I had purchased online during cyber Monday to the store in Schaumburg. I was out and it was the most convenient thing for me to stop while I was running other errands instead of returning the items through the mail. From the minute I stepped up to the counter, the sales woman treated me very poorly. She was visibly frustrated when I apologized for having a lot of returns. She proceeded to tell me that I shouldn’t return my items to this store because it was going to mess up their sales numbers. She told me multiple times that I could return them via mail, to which I mentioned that it was more convenient for me to stop in the store than send them in the mail. She asked me why I chose that particular store to return the items. She did not smile at me once and was visibly annoyed the entire time — making faces and noises. It was very uncomfortable to stand there while she haphazardly ripped all of the clothing out the plastic bags and threw them here and there while she processed the returns. I’ve returned online purchases to this location in the past and have never been met with such rude service. The woman who«helped» me had long, dark hair and is probably mid-40s. I know she has worked at this store for a while because I’ve spoken to her in the past when I’ve shopped there. Maybe she was having a bad day or something, but I was made to feel unwelcome in the store and literally yelled at for returning items according to what is allowed via company policy. Not ok in my book.

Rude customer service. Especially the girl with long black hair. Completely ignored me when I asked a question twice. The second time I basically shouted it. Confusing sale signs too.

Good selection, terrible customer service. I wasn’t approached to be helped once in 20 minutes, including two trips to the changing room. Needless to say, I left empty handed due to lack of helpful service, not the quality of product.

I like that this location is separate from Woodfield Mall, although the parking at Streets of Woodfield is less than desirable. I typically go here on my lunch break so I need to be in and out quickly. I’ve never had to wait in any super long lines at this location which is a plus. Fitting rooms are clean and selection of merchandise is good(they usually always have what I am looking for). I also like that Loft has a nice sale section in the back of the store… if you really want something you can always hold off and it will pop up on the sale racks. Loft always has some type of sale which makes the clothing a bit more affordable. I was just here recently and I noticed that the sales associates aren’t as pushy with signing up for their credit card as they used to be. There was always one associate who would harass you about signing up for the Loft card… I don’t know how many times I had to say NO before she got the hint.
