Menchies is a great hangout spot… except I’m not a 14yo girl who got dropped off by her mom. The yogurt is good, the one regular flavor that is. Most of the flavors revolve around pie, cake and some sort of fruit. They tend to be neon orange, yellow and blue… If I wanted that I would go to the black light run in Chicago. The staff are nice but I was greeted by a dying cow, it screamed at me as I entered and left the establishment, it needs to be removed immediately. Other than that 5⁄56.

Prices seem to go up every month-now .56/ounce. When did 3 servings of frozen yoghourt get more expensive than 3 – 4 half-gallons of premium Ice Cream?

We recently celebrated my daughter’s 4th birthday here and it was PERFECT! From the moment you walk in you can’t help but smile and be happy. I contacted the owner, Kwan and he always responded in 24 hrs or less. He was so accommodating and helpful I didn’t have to stress about anything. Everything was so well thought out even the placemats for the kids had my daughter’s name. By the time the party ended, I wanted to hug Kwan. Not just because he and his staff did an amazing job, but because he felt like family. I didn’t even mention the froyo! My niece and I like to explore new froyo shops and this one had it all! Lots of fun flavors and tons of toppings! All delicious! We will definitely be making Menchie’s in Schaumburg our go to Froyo stop!

I like this place, decent amount of options, the staff is friendly, the place is clean. the only negative was that is it is little expensive, well that could be because I went a little overboard with the toppings. overall made me feel like a kid, good experience.

This is probably some of the best frozen yogurt I’ve had. I always forget how good it is when I let some time lapse between my visits. The store is always clean and they have sample cups sitting out so you can have as many samples as you want. I hate when frozen yogurt places police the sample cups which they don’t. The only thing that would make this place even better would be if they delivered.

Oh man — now this was some amazing frozen yogurt! We got here shortly after they opened on a Monday, and there were already a few customers and their kids sitting down. The cashier girl was super friendly and greeted us with a smile. I spazzed out at the amount of flavors of yogurt and the variety of fresh toppings available — I hardly ever treat myself to things like this, so I was going to go ALL out. My boyfriend and I each got a little less than a pound of frozen yogurt and toppings in our cups, and yes, we finished them in record time. I had a mix of their blueberry tart, original tart, strawberry and peach. My boyfriend got a chocolate paradise bowl with all things chocolate. This reminded me of my childhood in Germany, where we had amazing ice cream, custard and desserts on every street corner. Three days later, and I’m still craving more of this place.

I thought froyo was not supposed to taste as good as ice cream, but this place rocked my taste buds. I literally really enjoyed like 8 out of the 10 flavors. Their toppings are everything I could wish for. I would definitely bring my future kids here in 7 years!

As a big frozen yogurt junkie, I have tried almost every place in the area but had somehow avoided Menchie’s until today. Let me just say that I really regret that because it was awesome! They had a great flavor selection(including a large variety of yogurt as well as sorbet… Try the Nutella for sure) and pretty good toppings, although there were not Reese’s :( I also loved the look of the shop. It was cute and fun, and extremely clean. I had never seen toppings arranged the way they were here, which was in small containers with lids, but it kept everything clean and sanitary. Would return here in a second.

The location is always clean. The staff is friendly. I like that menchies constantly change there flavors and that they always have dairy and non-dairy options. You do have to be mindful. I always end up getting more than I need because the cups don’t look to big but are. They have a candy and fruit mini bar for toppings & I like to add that stuff first so it’s frozen by the time I get to it. I recommend this place. It’s good for a sweet tooth, fair priced, good for groups or kids.

We LOVE this place! We have been coming here since it opened. Always have great new flavors and toppings. It is always very clean and fruit is fresh. The owner Quan is very helpful and friendly! My son has severe allergies to dye. He pulled out the book and let us know which flavors would be ok for him to eat. There is always plenty of seating. I know lots of frozen yogurt places have very little seating but this place definately is not lacking. They have a reward program as well. You earn $ 5 off coupons. You also get $ 5 for your birthday :) All the staff is very patient and friendly. My boys love to make their own treats and then weigh them on the scale. I would highly recommend this place!

I love this place. By far the best fro-yo place in the area. I’m my opinion, they have better flavors and more selection than Yogurtland(Barrington Rd) and Red Mango(Woodfield). Also much easier to park here than those other two. The staff here is usually very young, probably high school students, but they’re always very friendly. They always greet everyone who walks through the door and they’re very approachable if you need help or have questions. The store is usually very clean. I see the workers wiping down tables and cleaning around the toppings section. They generally have a good balance of flavors. They’ll have both rich flavors as well as light fruity flavors. This is the most important thing for me in a fro-yo shop. A lot of times they have $ 5 Friday posted on their Facebook page, meaning fill your cup as high as you can for a flat fee. It’s a great deal! I love this place and will continue to go back often.

So, after my last review, Kwan from Schaumburg Menchie’s reached out to me privately. He asked me about our experience, apologized, and assured me he would work with his staff to ensure this wouldn’t happen in the future. He also sent me some coupons later to make up for it. I was definitely amazed with this and would have been 100% content with just the apology. So, my sister and I were in the neighborhood last week and decided to come in. Right as we walked in, the worker smiled and greeted us warmly. He asked if we needed anything or if we had any questions. We definitely felt welcome! The flavors were great, and it seemed like they had more toppings than last time including cinnamon rolls. ohmagerd. Amazing! Anyways, he rang us up and we ate. It was really good. In short, it was just really nice to see Menchie’s taking what I said to heart despite me being just one customer. My experience was totally different the second time around. I can’t wait to return to Schaumburg Menchie’s! :)

My only experience thusfar with frozen yogurt is a locally owned place where I live. I literally go at least once per week, I’m so addicted. It was a hot day and I decided frozen yogurt would hit the spot. I was nearby so I went to Menchie’s. The interior is very cute, lots of bright colors and a pretty decent sized space to take a seat. The first thing that struck me was the flavors. I was really hoping to try their green apple tart and the taro. Taro is my favorite flavor, period. But they had neither, oh well. They had vanilla, cake batter, grape, peanut butter, coconut, tart, orange, berry blast, and some other fruity flavor that I wasn’t into because I think it was no sugar. I found it a little weird there was no chocolate. So I got the tart, cake batter, and coconut. The coconut was kind of an afterthought but it turned out to be my favorite so I was sort of kicking myself. It is my understand from their selection and reading the other reviews that«original tart» is their only constant flavor. This is a bit problematic– the flavor or flavors that are constant, they should be made well. There was way too much ice in the tart flavor, it tasted almost grainy. The coconut was smooth and delicious, it was a really good flavor. As for the cake batter, it was pretty gross. Very artificial flavor, kind of grainy, just not good. They have a pretty good selection of toppings but they had no raspberry sauce which I usually like to put on my tart with dark chocolate syrup. So it was okay but not that great.

Amazing froyo! My favorite flavors are the fruit punch sorbet, grape sorbet, and green apple tart. My Toppings? Um, nothing but loads of gummy bears, please! I’ll continue coming here especially as the weather gets its act together. Been here three times already this week… I crave it! Also, get the rewards program. It’s super easy to get freebies.

Absolutely my new favorite Fro-Yo place! Blows«Red Mango» out of the water, IMO! Cheaper per ounce, LOADS more options & seating, and the employees are much kinder! When the 4 of us went in late on a Sunday night, the girl working(Katie) was incredibly helpful, and actually knowledgeable about the company and when the different flavors rotate, and just general facts that were interesting to learn. Whenever we go into Red Mango, it always seems the girl working there just haaaates her life and is not very welcoming… We had a fabulous experience at Menchie’s! We had loads of flavors to sample including their minty«grasshopper» flavor, coconut, fruity combo, cake batter, banana, decadent chocolate, vanilla and MORE!(lots more yumms not-as-tart than at Red Mango…) We did learn that they also put a Pumpkin flavor AND a Red Velvet flavor in their rotation, but it depends on what their distributor has for options at different points in the season, as the lovely Katie informed us. After I chose a delicious mix of the chocolate & vanilla frozen yogurt, I headed over to the toppings center. *HOLYTOPPINGS* They have loads of toppings to choose from *see all my photos* ! You can custom create your own mix! They also have chilled toppings to, in addition to some hot choices as well! Once you finish your custom creation, you bring it over to the center island, and you pay by weight, but it is CHEAPER per ounce than Red Mango(a place that will now be in my past for satisfying this girls fro-yo cravings!). Then you get to pick out an ADORABLE spoon, and can keep it forever because it’s dishwasher SAFE and the cutest spoon you’ll ever see! You can take your yummy creation to one of their MANY tables(sorry Red Mango, you only have like 4 tables. bah) and even take a friend up on a game or come with the kids and they can color some pictures from their art corner! Absolutely had a fabulous and tasty experience, we most definitely will be back many more times!!!

Got the Menchies? I do and it comes in the form of froyo — as in frozen yogurt. Menchies is the newest addition to the several froyo stores in the area with distinct differences. Located right by the Schaumburg library, Menchies is tucked away in a quiet strip mall. The layout is a little different where it’s more open than your typical set up. It almost promotes sneaking a bite or two since the cashier’s back is towards you. Here are the reasons why I’ll be back: 1. Only .45 cents an ounce 2. Self serve 3. Clean with a lot of variety for toppings 4. Bonus points for each dollar that you spend 5. No annoying teenagers who loiter like at the Streets of Woodfield

Grabbed a cup, got my froyo, and ate a super healthy lunch. I see this happening a lot in the future because it’s right on the way from a string of errands I run during lunch once or twice a week — I’ve already gone 4 times! With froyo at $.45/ounce, it doesn’t break the bank for a cool treat. Workers are all super nice, location is really clean and cute, plus they have a rewards card. I’ve been a Red Mango devotee but the rewards program may make me switch over to Menchie’s. They call it mySmileage and I’m a sucker for cutesey anything. Once you’ve spent $ 50 at Menchie’s they credit your account with $ 5 to spend, wootwoot! So far I’ve tried peanut butter(liked it) and I like their topping options of oreos, reese’s pieces, M&Ms, many good chocolate options that pair perfectly on peanut butter. Also had the green apple tart which I love and the good ol’ plain tart — another goodie. I heart Menchie’s!

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is conveniently located near the Schaumburg Library(which is also great!). you can take a study break here. :) Dessert: they have variety of different frozen yogurt flavors and toppings. i think they change up their flavors because I didn’t see any Blue Raspberry flavor there as mentioned by Unilocaler Nicole G. Toppings:.friend that went with me stated that the fruit was slightly dry… and the purple mochi that they had tasted like medicine… Free tastings: they have the mini-cups laid out for you to taste… which is convenient. Costs: $ 0.45 + tax per oz and if you would like a waffle cone it’s just an additional $ 1 Atmosphere: cute décor, very colorful giving it a summertime feeling. great place to come with friends and/or family. layout & setting is spacious and clean Store set-up: I like the self serve feel and unlike some of the other fro-yo places, you have more room to get your toppings so that it’s not congested when you’re in line to pay… the toppings section is located across the cashier counter. I love the cartoon-like pictures on the walls… Smileage Card: it’s their rewards card which consists of you collecting smiles… cute idea! Customer Service: upon arrival the girl that greeted us was very friendly and very inviting. However, the guy wasn’t as friendly… Parking: plenty of free parking in the parking lot I would come here again to collect smiles on my smileage card; however, I still like Yogurtland & Pinkberry & Red Mango better.
