I have been a Scottrade customer for years. I like the online system, but I have always dreaded going to the local office in Schaumburg. I think the customer service folks that work there, truly believe they are Wall Street big shots, as when you walk in, they treat you like if you just interrupted a mega billion deal. It is difficult enough to pry them off their desk, never mind actually help you. $ 7 commissions. I guess you get what you pay for.
