Starbucks

I’ve been to this Starbucks twice, and both times it was bad. All I have wanted is a simple coffee, but they never seem to have anything brewed and ready to go. I get the «we would have to do a pour over this that and the other…». No. I’m in the drive-​thru and didn’t plan on waiting here 15 minutes for a simple cup of blonde roast. And who knows what they did to my boyfriend’s salted caramel mocha. It tasted like watery hot chocolate. Either the employees don’t know what they’re doing, or they have zero time-​management skills, or most likely — both.

Since Starbucks has moved to this location (formerly north on Barrington near Kohls) I haven’t gotten to frequent it much, as it’s not on my way to work anymore. I have gotten to stop by a few times, and I like the new building. The drive thru is of course a bonus as well. I do have to say that I was surprised to see some old faces from the previous location that weren’t very friendly working at this new location, but maybe I keep catching them on bad days. It just isn’t professional to hear them complain about other customers at the drive thru while I’m at the window. Overall though, nice location. They can’t seem to get the request for «very light cream» right in my boyfriend’s iced coffees, but maybe one day.
