Bagels & Bakes

Great selection of bagels and fast service. I also tried the sugar cookie and lemon filled cookie which were homemade and fresh. My only star subtraction and suggestion would be to have a separate line for ordering vs pick up and paying. It was a bit congested at the one register. Overall, I would definitely return to Bagels and Bakes.

I’m a former resident of Rotterdam and I now live in Brooklyn NY, not one single NYC bagel had topped Bagels & Bakes, they will forever be my hometown bagel favorite.
The staff is personable locally employed and the business is owned by a wonderful family whom is known in the community for their friendliness.

Worst customer service ever. Staff is rude and owners ruder. As a local, business owner, if my staff was as condescending to a customer as these little girls were, they would have a job for three seconds. Personal the bagels ar just OK, and I wouldn’t spend another penny there, I would rather drive four miles to another bakery and spend my money. I think this small business has gotten just a little too cocky…

I’ve been eating here since I was younger their bagels are amazing and customer service is great. The food is always fresh and the place always clean. I have never had anything I didn’t like or that wasn’t good from here! I will continue to eat here due to the fact that the service never changes no matter who is working! Yummy food!

The staff are efficient but not too welcoming. Bagel size is small (normal) which is very helpful for watching carb intake. Price seems about average. Inside is too difficult to place an order. I’ve been going here for years but I think today was my last visit. I just don’t care for the order process. Too much interaction with a rushed staff. Place order, wait for order than other people wondering and asking if your order is their order because they too are waiting among the customer pile up. Maybe its worth the set up. I just like a friendlier place.

Living in Southern CA we are bagel challenged. So being back in upstate NY I had to have a good bagel. I walked in and smelled the bagels and it smelled just like NY bagel. That is a wonderful smell. I just got my standard toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese and it was prefect. It’s funny how something so simple can really be complicated. But this bagel was awesome. Combine that with the fabulous service and the neighborhood atmosphere and this is really a great place to have a bagel and coffee. One visit and you will be welcomed like a regular.

We like getting Bagels and Bakes bagels once every few weeks, and we enjoy them just as much as Brueggers, if not more.
I had never tried the sandwiches until today when my wife and I got the Turkey Gobbler and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time.
Not sure what happened with the person who complained about the service, but I’ve been in there a few dozen times and have always had great service. Would happily recommend.

I’ve only tried the tuna on wheat, but I have had it numerous times, and it’s a very average sandwich made with bagged soft wheat bread, but in a pinch, it’s not the worst sandwich. The service is comically bad if you have time to waste, or aggravatingly disogranized and ridiculously slow if you have to get back to work and don’t have time to waste. And the service never gets better. While in line, you can gaze at two very appealing granita frozen slurpee type machines whirling drinks that I have never tried because the digital display on the machine says that it’s 965 days (as of yesterday) overdue for cleaning service. All part of the Bagel and Bakes experience. I only go here because there few other options.
