Dom Gallo Florist

Stopped here and grabbed flowers for my girlfriend. Since I know nothing about flowers I brought a couple of flowers that are meant for the graveyard.
I didn’t know this until my girlfriend told me. She still accepted those flowers anyways!
There’s a old musky carpet smell in this flower shop.

There was nothing overtly wrong with my experience with this florist, but nothing stands out to me that makes me want to recommend them.
My friends sent me flowers after a death, and used one of those sites that contracts with local florists, and that site used Dom Gallo.
I didn’t know I was getting flowers till I got a voice-​mail that I couldn’t understand (raspy voice and quick talking), and it eventually clicked when I saw the (blank) notice on my door. I called some time after 5pm and the person I spoke to said they would call in the morning. It was also established the absolute earliest I could be at my house was after 3pm, which was a push for them.
The next day, no one called me, but I got home at the established time and then noticed I had two voice-​mail from 3pm from them, wanting me to call them when I got home. So I did, and my flowers were dropped off shortly after. The man who delivered it said something about me getting lucky, which I didn’t quite get (but my sense was because the flowers could be delivered), and it felt like an odd statement. Like, I raced home to make sure these flowers I didn’t order for myself could be delivered. That doesn’t feel too lucky.
I should note the flowers were pretty and nice quality. It’s been a couple of days, and they are holding up nicely.
All in all, no one did anything wrong or rude, I just felt like it was an odd, awkward experience. I would say that it would only make sense to use them to have flowers delivered if you knew for sure that the person would be there to receive them (like a work address would be best), and that’s always the cumbersome part of trying to surprise someone with a delivery of flowers anyway.
