We’ve used Friends lumber in the past. Never really had a problem. However, in the fall of 2010, we re-did our deck. We purchased the treated lumber from Friends Lumber. We’ve treated the wood (after a year of seasoning) and have nothing good to say about how the allegedly «kiln dried» wood has evolved. The wood shrunk in odd ways– sideways, lengthwise, curved decking (⁵⁄₄ round). We spaced the boards correctly and the wood has shrunk amazingly odd. Never again will we buy wood from Fridns.
THINK LONG AND HARD before you buy from Friends. Their wood ain’t «friendly!»
