Sunshine Dry Cleaners

Quite decent dry cleaners tucked into the somewhat inconvenient corner shopping plaza by Balltown and Nott, across the street from the Niskayuna Co-​op. We’ve used them four or five times now after having an awful experience with the other nearby dry cleaner, and so far so good. Things have been clean, on time when promised, haven’t been ruined, and the pricing isn’t bargain but it’s fine. I give them extra credit for knowing their limitations: another piece that had been ruined by the other cleaner was in an uncleanable condition, and they admitted as much before taking our money to try to clean it. Places that do the cleaning themselves tend to know this stuff much more than the ship-​off-​to-​cleaning-​plant storefront operations.
We haven’t tried any tailoring/​alterations here as yet, but they do them on-​site.
I’m giving them four stars within the category of dry cleaners largely because every other place has been a two or a one thus far, so you figure within same-​class they’re well above average.
