Verizon Wireless

I remain a fan of Verizon’s network and little else, from their odd online support and business arrangements that needlessly balkanize their various products/​services to their far-​from-​helpful bricks and mortar stores. My experience with this location is mezzo-​mezzo: they did get me a replacement battery for my somewhat old phone but neglected to give me accurate advice about the free or low cost phones I qualified for instead of paying for my replacement battery (which I only figured out after I’d bought the thing, of course) but on the third hand they warned me off the «official» phones the location displays were pushing in favor of waiting a few months based on their own experiences. The display models here seem to be in varying states of functionality, which I don’t find helpful, and I can never find the accessories I’m looking for and end up ordering them online from third parties much of the time. (Maybe I should give them a thumbs up for that?)
In any event, the store is there, you will need to use it occasionally if you’re already a Verizon customer, and as far as walking in cold looking for a new phone or plan, while I can hardly recommend it, I know of several other worse alternatives in line-​of-​sight from this place belonging to other purveyors so you could definitely do worse. How’s that for damning with faint praise? Well, the whole industry is corrupt and venal, a pox on all their houses, I say, and thank goodness there’s still a little competition.
