Service is good, but if you’re looking for authentic Aurelio’s pizza don’t come here. This location definitely does not use Aurelio’s recipes. Pizza is not good.

This place needs to be gutted or rebuilt. It smells and looks like someone’s damp dank dark basement. It also had a bad bathroom type odor. We’ve eating there many times over years but it’s soooo bad now we left without ordering

We came in with a party of about 15 people. The pizza was fine, but the appetizers were awful– stale, under-cooked and lukewarm not to mention they took 20+ minutes to arrive at our table and did not include marinara for ravioli and cheese sticks. When we told our waitress we were unhappy with the apps she told us she thought their new ravioli are gross. Not exactly what customers want to hear from staff. Moreover, most restaurants will have the manager come check on the table if food is sent back, but we were barely checked on by our waitress with no manager in sight. It wasn’t even a busy night! Our service was subpar. The server rarely checked on us. She didn’t know what kind of Sam Adams was on tap and asked my husband to name the different varieties of Sam Adams to see if one sounded familiar to her. I had to go up twice to the front counter to get our two water pitchers refilled. She never asked if anyone wanted refills on soda and we had to also get soda refills ourselves at the front counter. Service was terribly slow(apps came out maybe 10 mins before the pizza) and we were still charged for those gross appetizers. Our server also wrote«gratuity not added» on the receipt, which is rather tacky. We usually eat at Aurelio’s Geneva or Homewood. We absolutely will not return to Schererville even though it’s closer when we visit family in Indiana. I would recommend people avoid this location.

This place just really bums me out. I used to like their pizza but it seems like every time I have it, it tastes different. So inconsistent! I’ll stick to the original location in Homewood. What is consistent is the service, which is not good. It was not the fault of the waitress, the poor lady was the ONLY waitress there working 3 rooms that were FULL!!! What the heck!!! She was nice and tried hard but because they didn’t have adequate staffing it was a bad night. She brought us our food but we never go checked on after and I was so thirsty that my hubby got up and went to the front asking for a refill. There was no parmigiana cheese on the table which we like. It was on everyone else’s… Didn’t have a chance to ask for it and we gave up. When I finally got my refill I was worried it might not be diet(I’m diabetic and had enough carbs already) but the waitress couldn’t remember and got me a different drink so she was 100% sure that it was. She was really nice and kept apologizing because she was so swamped. This happens every time we go!!! Bad management. I feel bad for the staff because patrons place the blame on the wait staff. :-(this room was understaffed and almost always is!!!

My in laws live and die by the pizza here. I am not to fond of it personally though. I think there is not enough sauce. It just puts forth a taste that I don’t prefer. No one else I know has any complaints though. So I definitely would give it a shot if you have never tried it before. It might just be «your cup of tea.»

Pretty tasty. I’m from Tn and when we come up to Dyer for Thanksgiving we eat this alot seems to be their family tradition. The pepperoni is probably the best. The cheese has a buttery flavor. We had pepperoni and mushrooms last night. It kinda looked like they took a handful of mushrooms and plopped it right in the middle. Wish it would have been more evenly distributed. I have had the sausage and it was delicious. The quality of the sausage was top notch and tasty.

If you want the best pizza in not only Northwest Indiana, not only the Chicagoland area, but the world in my opinion. Get Aurelio’s. But, not any Aurelio’s pizza get a Schereville Aurelio’s pizza. A lot of the Aurelios use those pizza hut like conveyor belt ovens even the Homewood location does this. But, this Aurelios uses only the stone ovens. Stone ovens that have been season for more than half a century. I would recommend that you order your pizza more on the crispy side. Yes, your pizza will take longer than most places that is because they cook a pizza the right way. Even the simple cheese pizza is fantastic. I love the sausage and pepperoni, or give me a meatball, pepperoni, and giardinera peppers that is my favorite. If you are looking for a veggie go with a spinach, tomato, and mushrooms. Try is with alfredo sauce instead of the typical red sauce if you want to be adventurous. I would also recommend their calabrese. It is similar to the more familiar calzone. If you order a calabrese just get a simple spinach. You can get it with pepperoni or sausage if you need the meat. I consider myself to be a pizza connoisseur and this place is absolutely the BEST.

By far the worst service in NW Indiana! Don’t waste your time dinning in at this location! The waitstaff lack the skills needed to do their job not to mention management could care less whether the situation is rectified! I’m truly disappointed with this establishment and wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE! 0.00 tip

I ordered Aurelio’s pizza last night for delivery and was pleased overall however there are some factors that I will note. First our order was for a large thin crust sausage and pepperoni pizza. I asked specifically that the crust be crispy as that’s how my wife likes her pizza. When the pizza arrived the receipt did note that it requested a crispy crust(see receipt in photo) however the crust we received was very soft. My order also contained a medium stuffed spinach and tomato pizza. This pizza was cooked to perfection. I like how this pizza was not cut. I presume that is saved for the consumer because a ride in a delivery car with a sliced stuffed pizza would result in the contents being spread throughout the entire box. I’m giving four stars today for two reasons… one because of the mistake with the thin crust crispy request and secondly for what seems to be the norm as far as delivery with this restaurant. On Friday or Saturday nights it always seems that the delivery time during peak hours is between 90 minutes and one hour and 45 minutes. This was the timeframe I was quoted last night and although they stayed with in that timeframe I would order from this restaurant more if they could deliver faster. I am not saying that I would be a daily customer, but I can say that at least 10 times in the last year I wanted to order from this restaurant but made the decision to go with another pizza place based upon the timeframe for delivery.

Prepare to wait a while for the food and drink refills if you go on a Tuesday night. Server was nice but very overwhelmed running the whole restaurant by herself. Seems like really poor management as there were 5 cooks, 1 hostess and 3 bussers that we saw and not a single one of them came out to help this lady with refills or boxing up food. I don’t even think their was a manager on duty and if there was they should be ashamed. We got there at 6:15 and were not able to leave til 8. That’s a long time for pizzas and a salad, not to mention the salad came out 10 minutes after the pizza.

They keep raising prices and charging more for drinks. Also I waited over a half hour for my food. Pizza, of course, is delicious. But it’s starting to become too much. Bummer, this place used to be my favorite.

I love Aurelio’s Pizza in Schererville. Not all Aurelio’s are created equal. This is my fave. There is one in Joliet, but I would rather drive to this one. Great service, great food, great times. Get the sausage, hot pepper and onion! Yum!

Region Girl stuck in Indy. When I go back home, Auerlio’s s on the menu. I miss it so much. Nothing down here compares to it… NOTHING!!! Some locations are better than others, but even the so-so locations are good. I’m passing down he pizza snob tradition to my teenage son who also declares this the best pizza EVAHHHH! I love this place… Probably why I worked there all thru High School and summers back home from college. Wish they’d open one in Indy!

Aurelio’s has been a local favorite for many people for decades now. We used to go to the Schererville location while dating years ago. Not much has changed, which is a good thing in this case. The restaurants are not fancy and low lit. More on the order of a pizza hut. Service has been good and friendly at the Schererville and Crown Point locations. The pizza is good. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side which makes it unique.

Aurelio’s has shimmied its way into my number one favorite pizza spot. Maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder. However, presence makes my tummy grow fatter. I’ve been coming to this place for many, many years. It’s always consistent in its quality, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. I would say the place is usually fairly clean. They also make it really easy to get carry-out — you don’t even have to go into the restaurant part of the building which cuts down on crowded lines. My three favorite things on the menu here are the thin crust cheese pizza, stuffed cheese pizza, and the cheese sticks. There’s a cheese theme here, I guess. I’ve never tried their pasta, but I’m definitely willing to. As far as the pizza goes, it’s a little on the salty side, but the sauce is sweet and cancels that out somewhat.

I have been eating at Aurelio’s since I began eating. I always love the South Holland and Homewood locations. I have tried a few other locations over the years and was never that impressed. We ordered from the Schererville location last weekend, and to my surprise it tasted like the Aurelio’s that I grew up with and loved. The crust, sauce, and cheese were all fantastic. My fiancé’s family owns Italian restaurants and pizza parlors up in Wisconsin so they are picky about their pizza. Even they were impressed by the Aurelio’s in Schererville. It is a little on the pricey side, but I am always willing to pay for quality. Keep up the good work!

Another local pizza chain that’s been around for ages. I like Aurelio’s, but Old Mill Pizzeria is still my favorite in this area. Aurelio’s, to me, is not the most memorable pizza; however, it’s consistently good and high quality, so you know what you’ll get every time. Many people seem to be a fan of their 7 meat something. It’s a specialty pizza with 7 different types of meat. The service tends to vary by location, but pretty good in general. Aurelio’s pizza, a pitcher of crappy American beer and some good company and I’m set:)

Hello, food snob here. I would say the best in Northwest Indiana as far as pizza. Good quality, fresh ingredients. Even when delivered its good, and warm. Real close with Pascales in Saint John. The only problem with Pascales is when they deliver the pizza is cold.
