As far as big box stores, I am a loyal Target shopper. When I have a difficult day, I can usually count on the friendly staff and cashiers to brighten my day. I appreciate the cleanliness, low prices, product quality, store atmosphere, and guest service.

A fun, fast and friendly atmosphere. Great prices.
Carries some of their own brands which are very close if not better than name brand stuff for food.

Wausau, WI

All departments considered the best department store in the Wausau area: Although WalMart is larger and has more variety, it’s too crowded, the aisles are narrower and the place isn’t kept up.
Shopko has two stores in the area and they both seem quite tired.
Fleet Farm is a little on the funky side and farm oriented.
The last K-Mart in the area closed a few years ago.
