Oh my, a must ! Such a friendly atmosphere, The New England clam chowder to die for, asked for a bowl ! Got a huge bowl enough for 4 no joke ! And the prime rib out of this world a must. Chef Tina came out and introduced herself to us, so pleasant and friendly, portion sizes huge. Took home soup, prime rib and yes half of our desserts ! 2 take out bags full ! Dessert had carrot cake and hubby had a peanut butter and chocolate cake dessert huge, sliced it to put in to go container 3 normal size portions left ! We did get their @ 4 by 5:30 it was getting busy, . Will be a regular from Now on !!! Yummmy

Clarks is our all-time favorite place. Easy access, wonderful staff and service, and have NEVER been disappointed in the food. We Go there at least once a week. It’s the hometown place to be ! Close to Saratoga, without the downtown hassle .A perfect place to spend an evening, or to get a yummy takeout meal. Recommend the haddock, prime rib, and mostly everything !! Belinda Thomas

There portions are huge and the steak is outstanding the only be point is lack of parking and the fact that they don’t have a reservation system for large parties. Although I will have to say it didn’t take long for our party of eight to be seated. The server promptly arrived menus in hand, water glasses filled .From there on the service was impeccable with just a few exceptions, like one bread basket with six pieces of french bread for eight diners. apps were outstanding red pepper soup GREAT albeit a bit salty for some. Our order consisted of 3 prime ribs 2 Delano steaks, 1 fish and chips, 1 Alfredo and one black and blue delmanacò steak. To the credit of the chef and the server our meals arrived on time and the right temperature for dessert we shared a piece of BIGFATCHOCOLATECAKE. My husband and I finally tried this place because we’ve heard how good it was. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed. Good sign. The host directed us to the bar while we waited for a table. He was beyond nice and made us feel very welcome. The food was perfection. I had a salad and my husband had the soup to start. Both delicious. The bread tasted homemade and the butter it’s served with is addicting. We each ordered the Steak Delmonico with mashed potatoes and my husband ordered the sweet potato fries. We both agreed the steaks were the best we’ve had since we can remember. Medium rare Perfection. Big portions and attention to detail. Service was great and we can’t wait to go back. I can’t come up with a single thing I didn’t love about this place.

We went to clarks for dinner last night and we almost discouraged away due to how busy they were. But we stayed, worked our way to the bar and enjoyed a great meal. The service was awesome and the food matched the service. So if you go, stick it out and don’t leave, it’s busy for a reason. You will love it. The only reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 is simple we were unable to get a table to enjoy the full experience.

We live about 10 minutes away but it has taken us about a year to make it to Clark’s, we are disappointed that we waited so long! Only negative was that they don’t take reservations, so we had to wait a bit for a table. My husband and I were dining with his parents, so we ordered an appetizer of chicken wings to start. They were absolutely delicious, crispy, spicy, could not have been better. The bleu cheese that came with them was the best bleu cheese I have ever tasted. We all had to restrain ourselves from asking for more, even after the wings were gone. Instead of salad, I opted to start with a cup of italian wedding soup, it was probably the best italian wedding soup I have ever had! My dining partners said the salads were delicious. I ordered the tuscan chicken pasta dish and while it was good, I was not overly impressed, but the portion size was huge for the price. I did try my husband’s pork chop, which was absolutely delicious, as well as trying my father in law’s chicken dish which was also delicious. We will definitely be returning!

Had my first meal at this awesome restaurant this evening with my parents who have been raving about it. We put our names in with the host as there was a 30 – 35 minute wait(rightfully so on a Friday evening at a great spot) but ended up eating at the bar as three seats opened up and the Yankees game was on the TV(must admit — I asked if they could put it on and it was on within 10 seconds which is rare even at a huge sports bar, so this was a major plus for me). Apps were shrimp cocktail and steamers, both of which were fresh and delicious. Salads were accompanied by the best(made in house) bleu cheese dressing I’ve ever had, and were followed by the Cajun Prime Rib which was a perfect medium rare as ordered and honestly better than the prime rib I had at the famous Gallagher’s Steakhouse in NYC(and about ¼ of the price and much larger than the small cut I ordered — took at least half of it home). This place is one of Saratoga County’s hidden gems, and I can see why — the guy that was taking care of us the entire time turned out to be the owner and it’s blatantly obvious that he’s 110% committed to success at this place and has convinced his staff to buy in as well — it’s working! GOTHERENOW!

Wow! This place provided me with the BEST customer service experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I went on a recommendation of a friend and with my love of steak and sat down with my daughter for dinner on a busy Saturday evening. A table of 15(!) Was seated just before us and I thought«oh boy, we are in for a wait». I could not have been more wrong. Lovely artisan bread and a fresh, lovely salad with amazing ranch dressing was brought out at lightening speed, literally quicker than I would even expect drinks to arrive anywhere else. Our steak dinner and boneless wings delivered as soon as we were done with salad which was around 12 minutes wait from when we placed the order! I was in shock! Our Shirley temples were beautiful. A pleasant and professional young man was our waiter. He checked in on us at all the right times and never left us looking for a drink. Actually, it was easy to notice there was plenty of staff, young and energetic and happy and not running around stressed out. Don’t get me wrong, they were all moving around swiftly, but no exasperation or the look of people falling behind and unable to keep up with the demand. The staff here appear to be a well oiled machine and my hat is off to the owner who is smart enough to hire enough people to keep customers attended to and happy, and amazing food flying out of the kitchen at record speeds. Nothing makes me crazier than good food with horrific customer service and having to beg or hunt people down for drinks. I am 35 years old and have eaten out my fair share(or more) and I am telling you I was astonished at the efficiency and warm energy of the staff here. They were all smiling… even the guy going around to empty tables setting silverware and napkins. He was smiling as he went around. Clearly happy. Clearly not miserable. Clearly not stressed I ordered the marinated steak and it was cooked exactly as ordered, medium, so tender, juicy and tasty. There are only minor reasons this a four star review and not 5. One being that the steak could have been marinated longer and that would have brought it to the level of 5 star tasty. Also, the acoustics at Clarks are bad and even mid level conversations of those around you echo off of the walls and come at your ears like chaos. Also, the place is tasteful, but not full of character. I would rather have good taste than bad character… but perhaps over time it will develop more character, the good kind, as well as find a way to deaden and absorb the sound of chatting patrons so that it doesn’t sound like a school cafeteria. The staff and my desire to meet the owner and compliment him on those he has hired will keep me coming back. The food was very good! Damn good steak. But it is the service and great energy that really is addicting here and so extremely rare and refreshing.

This would have gotten 5 stars had it not been for the female manager who was on shift tonight(8÷8÷15). This was my first time to Clarks. When we got there it was about a 20 minute wait for a table so my boyfriend and I sat at the bar to order a drink. After getting our drinks and chatting with the female bartender(Cara), we decided to order our dinner at the bar instead of waiting for a table. Both bartenders were great. Excellent service and very personable. I had ordered a side of mushrooms with my steak and it didn’t come out with my order(not a big deal.) Cara went to get them and when she came back the manager(female blonde) came over scolding both bartenders that they really need to learn the menu prices because my mushrooms were put in at $ 2.95 vs $ 3.95. She did this about 2 feet from me so I could hear her. All I could think was that she could have taken them aside instead of doing it within earshot. About 10 minutes later, Cara told the other bartender she was going to take a quick break. The female manager came up about 2 minutes later asking where she was and shook her head when she was told she was on a break. As soon as Cara came back(no more than 5 minutes later) the manager came back and again scolded her AND the other bartender saying they needed to ask for permission before going on break. Again, if those are the rues, fine, but having these conversations in front of patrons of your restaurant is unacceptable and unprofessional. I commend both bartenders for their professionalism and service. The chef was great because our dinner was amazing. Too bad the female manager took away from my great experience with a snotty, «I’m better than you and I’m the boss» attitude!

In a quaint little town this restaurant is going to be a stand out. Clarks steakhouse was an amazing experience. Started with the French onion soup and while it didn’t have the depth of flavor I have had before it was wonderful. Cheese was melted to perfection and the bread was still crisp. For dinner we shared the marinated ny strip steak… it could not have been cooked any better. Flavor was amazing. We will definitely be back and recommend it to all.

We have been to Clark’s a few times now. The food and portions are always excellent. Homemade dressing on salad is excellent. Steaks, burgers, pasta and seafood are all wonderful. Great for kids too and it’s real food, including steak and seafood options. They also have a pretty good gluten free selection. It can get crowded, but that’s just a good sign of the repeat business they get. Dessert menu is good, but a little pricier than I would like, but that seems to be the trend… I recommend.

We are fans of sitting at the bar, ordering a drink and an appetizer or two. We like Clarks because the bartenders can carry on an conversation, talk about the history of the building and still pour a good drink. We ordered potato skins — yum and steamed clams — they, unfortunately were rubberier. The background music is just the right, the lighting works and the place is spotless which is a big plus. The owner, Jason is an engaging and interesting guy and we wish him nothing but the best with his venture.

I took my Wife out for a Valentine’s dinner to Clark’s. We opted to go out on Friday night to beat the rush of the actual holiday. Although we have eaten here several times before this was hands down the best steak dinner I have eaten in years. My Wife ordered the Delmonico which was once again cooked and flavored to perfection. I opted for the Cajun rubbed Prime Rib and this was the most amazing steak I have had in a very long time. It was seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. I have traveled for work and eaten at some 5 star steakhouses such as Ruth Chris and Mortons and this Prime Rib was seasoned and cooked as well if not better at a fraction of the cost. As for the rest of the meal everything from the nicely portioned salads to the quick and attentive service by Nick and others was very good as always. They had a special Valentine’s dessert menu for the weekend and although we were full my Wife took an order of their cream puffs with fresh fruit to go. When she got a chance to try them out she was also very impressed with how delicious they were . Kudos to Jason and crew for putting a great little steakhouse on the map in one our local communities. If you haven’t already tried Clark’s you don’t know what your missing. Give em’ a try. you wont be disappointed!

A coworker recommended this place, then coincidentally a living social coupon popped up on my phone for Clark’s 10 minutes later. So I was compelled to make the 20 mile trip to Clark’s. Turns out I was the first person to use the LS coupon. Me and my fiancé both got the NY Strip, medium. FANTASTIC and perfectly done. A nest of fried onions on top made it even better. The salad greens were fresh and top notch, the house rasberry vinagrette was great. I noticed some other tables get served the prime rib and it looked good, not all fatty Jason the owner came out to chat, friendly nice young man. This is the new steak spot for me. Wanna go back and try some other items on the menu. Only surprise was that they did not offer a baked potato with a steak. Got garlic cheddar mashed and they were OK

I just worked A 12 hr day and have a 6 hour drive, I hadn’t eaten lunch, so a dinner was something I was hoping to find, Wow was I pleased, great stake NY strip, cooked perfectly, Fast service, everyone cheeks on you, not overly but you are never waiting for service, I am very impressed.
