We have a GE Water Softener that was leaking from the apparatus on the top. Found Culligan online and made an appointment with them to repair since their website stated that they service/repair off-brand softeners(one of the few). The technician came out to look at the softener, stated that he would be unable to get the parts for repair and that water softeners were«throwaway items» and not worth repairing. We were charged more than $ 100 for the service call.
