Went here today and Charles gave me a solid cut. Nice guy, low key, professional, and was in and out. Also liked that he accepted credit cards. Will be coming back to this local barber. Thanks

I have been going to this Barber Shoppe since it was Mister T’s(Tom’s) and now it’s owned by Charles. I am a satisfied repeat customer, and I continue to get excellent service and a great haircut. Charles always remembers me, and remembers our dialog from the prior visit. I feel like I am visiting an old friend; his prices are fair, and I am happy to post a positive review. I would recommend Charles to my friends and relatives.

No muss no fuss, always consistent, always makes sure you’re happy with the cut before you leave the chair. I strongly suggest giving this guy a shot.

High quality, consistent haircuts. Good with kids(lollypop!). Friendly service. Old thymey establishment. Flowbee-style clean up! Single proprietor means that you can run into lines.

BEFOREYOUSEETHISGUY I SUGGESTTALKINGTOHISCOMPETITORSABOUTHIM. YOU’VEBEENWARNED !!! …Want to find out more? Go here: …(to the barbers competition … thank you all for sending this recent tidbit… you barbers must get a lot of chuckles) Read my story and read his response. Then decide if this is someone safe with a razor. … My Story: WOW !! If I could give this guy a zero I would. I went in this morning and wondered if it was the same barber that bought the shop from Tom. It’s been a long time and the guy that bought it I remembered as friendly, young, good looking, and slim. This barber was very tall, heavy, big beard, grey haired and quiet. So I asked him if it was his shop because I wondered if he was working with the other guy. He kinda acts annoyed and says yes and asks who was I thinking about. I say Tom because I don’t know the other guys name. About 2⁄3 way through the cut I ask if the lady barber that used to work there still works there. He says«I think you should go somewhere else». I felt like I was in the hell that evil barber shop customers are sent to(was I in the TWILIGHTZONE?). After that, I can’t wait to get out of there. He gives me a quickie crappy cut and says«20 bucks». I say«the sign says 18». He points to another sign that says«styled hair $ 20». He says«I styled yours»(yea a 10 minute crappy styled cut). He’s a pretty big guy, and he glares at me, so I crumple up a 20 and toss it at him and call him an a… hole and he calls me a jerk as I leave. Then he glares at the poor kids sitting in the chair. First time I haven’t tipped a barber for a cut in 20 years. Also the first time I’ve ever had an experience like that(I wouldn’t pay if I had to do it over again). I’d cut my hair with garden shears before I ever go back to this clown. Overpriced and an attitude that has to be seen to be believed. Lucky for me an ugly haircut eventually grows and I can get a decent barber in a month or two. This poor guy could be the same angry fellow he is right now for years to come. These pictures below are not of the same guy. The guy that works there now(at least sometimes is) a very angry person. People like that are people to avoid, especially with sharp objects in their hands. I decided to edit this post a bit after I noticed the barber had posted an angry rant(since removed) in response to this post. He mentioned being interrogated because I asked him two questions(see above). So I’ll just say that most people don’t find two questions an interrogation and prefer a clear price prior to the beginning of services. If you are the sort of person that enjoys conflict and being surprised at the price of what you are expected to pay for a haircut, then this is your barber. He posted some nasty comments about another patron further below and they should be read it if you want to get a better understanding of what this barber can be like. People like him should not be around sharp objects(I hope he doesn’t hurt himself). After reading his earlier response to my post I realized the best thing I could do is forgive him and pray that he finds a solution to whatever troubles him. He can spin his story anyway he like but we both know what really happened. …Happy Anniversary… Mr Barber…(it’s been 2 years and if I add another period you get to link it again). :) LOL

Not sure why some of the posts are so negative. This place is great. I used to go to Tom’s, but I like it even better with the new ownership. I always get a good haircut, and I like chatting it up with Charles. Definitely recommend it.

Quick, easy, and painless. Plus an amazing haircut. He knows what he is doing and he can fix any hack job from a supercuts. I think we have found our new barber!

First of all the picture of the guy is NOT Charles. I was pleased with the cut I got yesterday, but it still wasn’t a high n’ tight after second try. The most disappointing thing was that though straight razor shaves are advertised, he only does them by appointment and after hours. Today I went to Johnny’s and got the BEST high n’ tight and straight razor shave.

I used to be a frequent customer of Tom’s Barber Gallery. However, now that the business is under new ownership, the staff are cold and unfriendly. And, to top it off, after arriving at 5 pm, I was told for no apparent reason that my business wasn’t wanted. Charles had a really bad attitude. If you were a customer of Tom’s and are expecting a similar feel, you won’t find it here.

My husband always looks great after he comes home from his favorite barber, he call it ‘his manny/pedi/botox’ pampering, just man-style.
