Love DVD To Go. Linda is so friendly and customer service oriented. She knows her movie«stuff». When we asked about a recent, but relatively unknown movie, she wrote the name down and promised to order it based on our interest. We so appreciate the local business.

Love Linda and all the employees at DVD To Go. We have been going to them for over 14 Years; and we have never had a bad experience. I love going there with the kids and picking out a movie together — makes for a perfect Movie Night!

We just moved to a new neighborhood near this DVD rental place. I love being able to walk here, get recommendations on the latest releases, and help support a local business here in Scotts Valley. It’s family-owned and whoever is manning the place is always super-friendly. In the age of streaming content I’m happy to support these guys with my regular business.

I love this store. Each of the staff members have been super friendly, knowledgeable about the dvds in the store and very helpful each visit. I like the personal touch and the ease of check out is phenomenal. All I need is my phone number and it’s pay now or pay later if you don’t have it now. The prices are also great. Most of the time I am checking out a 5 day movie for $ 2. The store is in a super handy location for those who live in town, being in the middle of Scotts Valley Drive. Yes, there are Amazon movies, Netflix and those machines at the grocery stores now but I don’t care for any of them as long as this store is in town. I don’t watch movies often, but when I do I think of Dvd to Go. Thanks for being there!

I just rented a movie from DVD to go, and it was a great experience, it was so nice to have human contact, instead of pushing on a computer screen, don’t know who helped me, but he was so polite, a real gentleman, and a great employee. I don’t know what that 1 star review from Stephen R. was, but he must have had a bad day. This place is AWESOME!

Absolutely horrible. Netflix should have acquired this business and sold its contents in a garage sale when they started in this town over 10 years ago. Wasn’t greeted when we entered. The owner, Linda is it? Some grey-haired older woman, seemed more interested in her conversation with another customer than even acknowledging the presence of new business entering her store. Finally found a movie we liked, then approached the counter. We were stared at awkwardly until I had to verbally state«I would like to rent a movie, please.» In this day and age, wouldn’t you expect a store owner to know what a customer is approaching them about? Even a fractional clue? We made idle conversation, enough so that we could proceed with the transaction and leave. She seemed insulted for some unknown reason. As I was ready to pay her she asked for my number. I said, okay, sure, why? Apparently you need to fill out a form with your drivers license number, address, etc. She flatly blurted«If you change your number, we need another way to find your „account“». I would have felt better if A) she wasn’t pushy and rude, and B) could explain why a drivers license number is REQUIRED. I’m sorry, in my job I work with far more sensitive information, with ID #‘s included. So what business do you have asking for such sensitive information that is relevant? She almost immediately threw up her hands. Most likely because she was befumbled and couldn’t articulate any valid answer to my questioning and, refused service with nothing more than«Bye!» … refused me service because I asked why you’re taking excessive personal information from me? Shop owner your are an idiot. YOUDONOTDESERVEMYBUSINESS. Also, cash only? I’m sorry, I work with businesses smaller than yours and they are smart enough, and manage their money well enough to afford P.O.S. services. If you aren’t in the payment services business by now, you’ll never be. And that’s unfortunate, because you’ll always be scraping by with high risk cash levels, and sticky IRS reportings. We were looking for a way to finish Downton Abbey, season 2 and 3, but it was not available thru Netflix, Hulu, etc. DVD to go had multiple copies. Haven’t been in a DVD rental store since Blockbuster(ugh). We will now be regular customers. Blockbuster ruined the small outlets that had great service and cared about their customers. Hurray for small local busineses!

Blockbuster killed the family DVD store. Netflix killed Blockbuster(b/c of the Scotts Valley Blockbuster); it’s an auto parts store now. And now we have DVD To Go par duex, which used to be in the Scotts Valley Market Shopping Center where the JTs bar is, but was reincarnated, like a California Sea Condor in its lovely location a bit south on SV Drive. I go here even when I can download the movie, mostly because I like the BluRay discs and the back room with obscure movies from the 80s, like Flight of the Navigator.

This place is a gem. The woman who runs this shop is knowledgeable about movies and is a lovely person. Even though we have many ways to view movies at home, we love coming here on the weekends to support the business and to get movies not yet available elsewhere. The selection is terrific.

Love this little family owned DVD store right on Scotts Valley Drive. They have every kind of Movie you can think of and they are always so friendly and helpful. You get to keep your movies for 2 days instead of one, which is great if you rent more than one at a time. You can’t get that kind of service at chain store.

The prices are not unlike the red box if you really do the math. 2 day rental vs one day. older items are cheaper then new releases. Its a really great place. The owners are super friendly. Lets support our local buisiness!

Linda and the other few employees treat everyone like family. For being a pretty small shop, they have an extensive library of dvds. They’re also open to ordering ones that they do not have. I’ve never had a bad experience at DVD To Go and would chose it over a chain store any day. Great prices!

Love this place. It’s small, but good things come in small packages. The selection is pretty good. Linda(The owner) does a good job of keeping up with current releases as well as having a selection of cool/old/indie films. All of the people working there have a love of good movie and are welling to help you pick something out or give you an honest opinion.

An inspirational case of the little guy surviving when the big corporate machine goes under, DVD to Go is still up and running while the local Blockbuster closed up and ran long ago. The owner and all who work there are very friendly, and as good with conversation as they are about their wares. They’re always helpful, friendly and fun, the prices are reasonable, and the selection of DVDs are fantastic. While head to the local Redbox for new releases, whenever I want to see something that’s been out for a few months, or when I don’t know what I want to watch I head straight there and always leave happy. DVD to Go is a true diamond in the rough.

Sugar and Spice. The owner is delightful and knowledgeable. We like the affordability of the place and the location. The selection is stellar, but if you are looking for a just released movie you might not get your whim satisfied. My place to go when looking for an obscure movie or something affordable.
