I have one big problem with this restaurant… It’s not close enough to my house! I’ve eaten here several times and have yet to be disappointed. Their menu is extensive and packed full of delicious roll combinations, appetizers, fresh sashimi, ramen, I’m getting hungry just listing what they have! The owners and staff are very kind and chatty, the whole place has a homey, fun feel to it. I can’t wait to go back there(which will probably be tomorrow if I’m being honest) and my goal is to try everything on the menu. It should take me 4 – 5 years but I’m more than happy to make the commitment :)

This is my usual spot to get sushi — just because its smaller, my daughter likes that they have the glass ball drink things, and they offer an reward card(you can earn restaurant credit back from you previous dining). I really enjoy the vegetarian and gluten free options. Chase’s Favorite(no rice) and the Yum Yum Yam roll is delicious! I don’t care for the miso soup or the seaweed salad, unfortunately. Service: the hostess/waitress are very nice and try to accommodate you as best they can. They are not stellar, but appropriate for this restaurant. HOWEVER, it is the management that is greatly lacking in professionalism. Three times already, the manager person has been sitting at the first table when you first walk in(overlooking the rest of the restaurant) and either paying bills, conducting interviews, or discipling a waitress while people dined, listening to him down talk her. I felt so bad for this girl. That is no way to conduct business in front of paying customers or toward your employees.

I have gone to this sushi place I do believe over 15 times sense it opened and I think I can calmly call myself a regular without raising any question, there are 4 sushi restaurants in Scott’s valley alone and many more in the entire Santa Cruz area and I have tried all of them, I am not exaggerating a bit, I spent an entire afternoon and evening trying every single sushi place in the area trying to find my perfect fit, sushi blossom was my first choice by quite a large margin, it’s location is a bit unfortunate as it is hidden by Maya’s however everyone I have heard that has gone there has been impressed and the only bad reviews I have read can simply be dumbed down to someone was unaware of the gravity of something and or they were complaining about the sushi being less than adequate, which is completely untrue and I do believe that they may simply not understand how some of their sushi is made and that this is a restaurant every once in a while something may go wrong, I have yet to have sushi from sushi blossom that wasn’t magnificent however if I do I am sure they will be willing to take it back and or replace it with something else, the staff is very kind and everyone I have talked to has been nice, I’ve been going there for quite some time almost sense it opened and I will continue to do so, this restaurant is a must try and I recommend it to anyone, the place is quiet and reserved and very low key which is nice, it also has good servers who know what thier menu well! A must go for any sushi lover or any person out and about looking for food period!

This place is great. I’m a total sushi lover & I’ve been everywhere, & can say it rates right up there at the top. We had a bento box with terriyaki salmon, mixed tempura & spicy tuna roll. Comes with salad, miso, vegetables, rice… Everything was great, even better than other places that I like a lot. Also had a kiss of fire roll. Very spicy & very good. Portions are also generous. We’ll be back!

This place… is weird. Honestly, none of the rolls I got were good… All the rolls I ordered were very fatty meaning there were a lot of mayo in the rolls and on the rolls. The edamame was the only thing that was pretty good. I recommend going to a different place if you really WANT to go to a sushi restaurant.

Its small and a little run down but omg the food is great!!! Everything fresh and on point. It was 4 of us so we ordered some crab ragoons to start off then some breaded shrimp. Idk exactly what sushi rolls my friends ordered but they were all monstrous. I ordered the katsu chicken, very good comes with soup and salad hooked up. 4 stars because they gotta hire a friendlier waitress and one of my friends ate alone because they brought her food very late and eb was too hungry to wait and it wouldve been a long wait and its not like it was full in there only 3 tables sat down. But I fully reccomend the food and you can just order out.

It’s just ok. The sushi is fine. Presentation is somewhat lacking. Service was just adequate. The price isn’t outstanding for what it is, but not expensive either. If there weren’t several other outstanding sushi restaurants nearby, I’d be more excited about this place. As it is, I’d go again, it just wouldn’t be my first choice. The fact that they deliver is a major factor for some people, I’m sure.

This is the best place to go for sushi! Everyone that works there is exceptionally nice, the service is great and so is the food. I cant forget to mention the quality of fish that is served here, it is the highest. You wont go wrong eating here!

After lunching at Sushi Blossom yesterday, I am compelled to reiterate for those who have not yet discovered this(slightly) hidden gem: THE. BEST. SUSHI. EVER. If I could rate more than five stars, I would. As an added bonus, the restaurant itself is quiet and intimate – no need to shout at your dining companion to make yourself heard. Seriously, folks – don’t waste your time at any of the other Japanese restaurants in the area.

Delicious food, terrific variety and exemplary service in this newer restaurant in Scotts Valley. Everything was extremely fresh and tasty. New décor fresh bright and cheery, in the previously San Dabs restaurant. Parking is a little tricky but well worth finding a parking place. Has outdoor tables as well.

Omg! Another great sushi place in Scotts Valley. This place I believe opened up around Christmas time which is when we came in and it was excellent! Fresh. Although at that time I don’t think they had their liquor license yet, but I assume they do now. And i thought Camp Evers shopping area it was kind of an odd Shopping Center, this place is hidden in the back where Sand Dabs used to be. I think the shopping center starting to do really well again too. My original favorite, Rumble Fish, is kinda out the door now with this place and Otoro. Will be back again soon someday.

We decided to dine here based on the many positive reviews from the Unilocal community plus this spot is really close to the Hilton in Scott’s valley where we stayed. The location is a bit confusing to find without navigation assistance so thank goodness for modern technology. As for the restaurant itself the food exceeded our expectations they offered a free appitizer that was outstanding, we ordered Himachi Cama which was a generous size and very affordable were used to paying twice as much for delicacy. We also ordered lobster appetizer with macadamia nuts also excellent although not usually appealing, the real star was this tuna tower that comes with crab and tabico and crunchy fried thing and lots of sauces and avocado. The flavors were excellent. I thought the kids choice menu needs to be revised the options were too limited, the wine menu was sparce so we went with unfiltered sake which was super affordable. We were a little bummed the advertised edamami wasn’t honored after being advertised as a freeby for Unilocalers. Contrary to other posts the Internet service wasn’t strong enough to redeem(at&t) Unilocal offer but we did get comped miso soup so all in all things were close to even. Needless to say the flavors make this place a worthwhile visit and it’s also very affordable win win!

we literally traveled up the coast from SoCal to find the hidden gems of California and this place is where it is at. It is tucked away off the road, but well worth it. The fish is fresh and the rolls are beautiful. The services is superb and we left full without breaking the bank. If you are trying to find to find somewhere to eat today, this is where you should go!

First off so glad we found this place in Scotts Valley… we first ended up at another popular sushi place in town and bcuz of service drove over to here to give a try… what a nice treat. The only draw back is they don’t have any wine, sake or beer yet. Kind of a bummer but what they lost on this they made up for on service and food. Our server Allison was the nicest young lady and was very attentive to our table and was great about making some great suggestions. We decided upon the 49er, Tiger, Mt Herman and Mango a go go long rolls… this was some of the best sushi we have ever had. One of the best treats was the Ahi tower appetizer! This was as it is described ahi towered and stacked with flavors a must try if you come here and for desert the wife and I split some belly yellow tail while the girls had some chocolate mochi. All is all an excellent night and I hope more people try this restaurant while in the SC area definitely a must!

Cute little/intimate place with pretty cherry blossom décor, great food and service! They also have a little patio area in the back where you can bring your pets. Their tataki appetizer was perfectly seared, so fresh and chewy. Hamachi roll was an awesome combination of fresh fish with cilantro and jalapeño(odd, but what a surprise!), one bite gives you so much flavor. mmm. their captain america roll was also pretty good, warm tempura roll with nuts, also full of flavor. Also enjoyed their chicken katsu, loved their lightly drizzled sauce on perfectly battered chicken(hate it when they drench their katsu in sauce, fried thick in dirty/old oil with little meat). their squid salad was also fresh and flavorful, vinegary with the right amount of saltiness. It’s a bit of a drive for us but I’d definitely come back.
