Hampton Inn

For Scottsburg this hotel is by far the better option than anything else in this little town… The lobby and breakfast area is beautiful and welcoming. The rooms could stand to be updated but I was pleasantly surprised to get in my room and find it has a full kitchen and separate bedroom. It’s very much like a small one bedroom apartment. Other Hamptons I have been to are always nice but this is the first one I’ve been given a room like this. Staff has been great too! Excellent variety for breakfast choices and always fresh coffee…

Clean, comfortable, well-​staffed, and quiet, the Hampton in Scottsburg should make travelers happy that they made the choice to stay here. Our only issue was a weaker than normal showerhead, but everything else is excellent especially for the rates charged. Indoor pool facilities are an added plus… the breakfasts are the usual very good quality Hampton Inns are known for. Highly recommended.

This place was going to get 3 stars until I found a condom packet next to the bed, albeit unopened. Also, the TV did not work.
The condition of the hotel is to be expected for one to be in rural Indiana, however, the service upfront was subpar. One of the clerks, a lady with glasses and plethora of tattoos was talking on the phone on a personal call while checking me in without smiling. The guy next to her, who looks like the manager, was dealing with a difficult customer, seems to have the utmost courteous customer service from my hearing of their conversation.

The hotel it’s self is very nice, Hotel employees are not! These people need to go back to training and be reminded how to treat people and what GOOD customer service is all about… This is ridiculous they sure don’t go above and beyond which is why I always stay at Hampton Inn. ** UPDATE NOW THAT WE LOOK AROUND THERE IS THE ROOM A USED TOWEL HANGING IN THE BATHROOM AND WRAPPERS ON AND IN THE COUCH!!! Grossed out…

The outside of this hotel has been recently redone, as is the case with the beautifully lobby. The front desk staff was kind, and the continental breakfast was exactly the same as every other hampton inn. Today’s treat was the western omelet and home style potatoes.
The carpet on the second floor was completely redone, however the subterfuge didn’t last. The fixtures in the room seemed a bit dated, and the telephone was that old-​faded-​beige-​plastic color. I was kind of happy to find that the tv remote was a sanitary remote, one that could be successfully wiped down and disinfected prior to my arrival. I am a bit sad, however, that this type of sanitation is necessary.
Overall, this is about average for a hampton inn but likely the best lodging option in Scottsburg.

I arrived late and was still greeted with a smile. The room is very clean and comfortable. I would have given them five stars except, the water pressure is very bad. I barely had a trickle for my shower. This hotel is close to erything though! Many restaurants, shopping, sightseeing. All in all a good choice. Free breakfast!

I called the hotel in early June to block several rooms for my wedding in May 2015. I spoke with the director of sales and blocked 10 rooms and was told cancellations have to be done before ⁴⁄₁₆. I called today to cancel this block of rooms because the wedding destination has changed. I was informed that this block of rooms was ALREADY cancelled. And when I asked why, I was told, «I don’t know,» with no offer to find out.
If I had not called, I would have found myself without a block of rooms for my wedding. This is so unacceptable and I can’t believe there aren’t notes in the system about why it was even cancelled.

My husband and I LOVE this hotel, stopping here on our route from the southeast back to Chicago. Newer design, airier lobby than the esrlier generation Hamptons. Free wi-​fi. Very clean, friendly, terrific workout room. Near restaurants. Great value — much cheaper than the other side of Louisville or closer to Indianapolis. Fresh cookies with check-​in. Extremely thoughtful management and staff, e.g.,
1. On this frosty morning they had de-​icers and ice scrapers for guests to borrow.
2. I left my room key in the workout room and the housekeeper was kind and helpful even though she was quite busy.

Nice hotel! The Hampton Inn met all my priorities;cleanliness, comfort and a friendly staff. It is just off the interstate so it has very easy access. I checked out the pool and little gym and both looked very nice. They offer a free continental breakfast. My husband and I both agree the biscuits and gravy are in the top ten worst we have ever had but the rest of the food was pretty good. My only complaint is that they advertise free wi-​fi but I was never able to get a connection.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and recommend them highly.

The hotel is great value for the money. Clean, nice bed and good staff. I’ve been staying at this hotel sice it was built about 10 or so years ago. It is the best choice in this area. Has a smalll swimming pool, Jaccucci and a mini gym… Good selection of buffet breakfast items, coffee’s not bad either.
Considering this hotel in on 80+ dollars per night, it’s a great deal for the money. Don’t bother shopping around, this is the one…
